I'm inclined to think that the stress of being sick is throwing off your cycle.
On another note regarding trying to get pregnant, have you started charting your basal body temp?
I'm sure you have read threads like this before, but this is really frustrating! My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 months now. I am 26 and he is 28. We both have children from previous marriages. I got off birth control in April, and every 28 days I have had a period. Down to the hour. Exactly on time every month. I was supposed to start my period on Saturday. I didn't start. I took an early detection pregnancy test that night with negative results. I took another one last night as well, same thing, negative result.
There are no signs or symptoms that my period is going to start. My breasts are so tender they cannot be touched. I have been getting sick and feeling nauseous the past week and a half. And I just feel bloated. I have had no cramps or anything telling me my period is going to start anytime soon. I went to the Emergency Room this morning because I have an upper respitory infection and I haven't taken any medication just because I thought there was a chance I could be pregnant. They were going to do a urine test but said that that was just as accurate as the at home tests and that maybe since I am sick it is throwing my cycle off? So gave me antibiotics and another med to kick my URI.
Is there still a chance I could be pregnant even after all those negative urine tests? Or maybe since I am sick it is throwing me off like the dr said.

Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
I think it does... It takes dedication, you have to take your temp BEFORE you even get out of bed every morning at the same time. You have to chart for a few months to get an idea of how things are working.
You have to make sure you get a basal body thermometer, a regular one will not work. You can buy one that includes the charts, etc. It's worth reading up on.
Pick up the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. If offers some good information too.
