Can you tell I'm bored today?

We've had threads about pet peeves, things that make you mad, etc... But now it is your turn to talk about yourself.

What is odd about you? Is there something you do that drives other people insane? Does anybody else know about this quirk?

Mmmm.. Constantly wiping over the sink, after someone's used it, or moving things to a better place, where it seems to fit, then other's can't find it, haha...

    Good thread.

Apparently not a lot of people want to admit they are odd. LOL

Here are a couple of mine.

When I'm irritated, I rub my nose (I don't know why), I think it is to hide the fact that I'm wrinkling my nose or flaring my nostrils at you. I've been caught doing that plenty of times.

When I'm mad, I pierce my lips together, drives hubby INSANE.

When I'm excited I talk fast.

I'm OCD when it comes to washing my hands. I was them all the time, for no reason. When I'm not washing my hands, Purell is my best friend.

The last, the obviously no one knows about, I don't even think my hubby has caught on to this one. I change my panties 2-3 times a day, for no reason. Well I have my reasons. Again, OCD... I put on clean ones when I get out of bed (there's 1), I put on clean ones after I work out (there's 2, but I don't really consider that because that's after my shower) and if I wear any to bed, I put clean ones on then (there's 3). I just really love my undies. LOL

Don't really like to just sit and watch TV or as a passenger in a car, I'll iron (well, not in a car) do needlework, or some sewing. Guess the TV just doesn't hold my interest well so I keep my hands busy.

Use my hands when I talk.

HAVE to floss at least twice a day.

Listen not just to music but the lyrics, if I don't like the message, I won't listen. For example, I change the station if they start playing Clapton's, Cocaine.

Don't like to wear shoes, I'm out of them as fast as possible. Same thing with bras.

Can go to sleep in one posistion and not change it all night. The last few years I've made a conscious effort to change position but don't sleep as well because I rarely do it naturally, I wake up to change position. I grew up doing a Lot of camping in a tent trailer in a bunk, where any movement would disturb others.

I've got a bit of OCD myself....I always wipe something down before I used it ,like before I get on the computer I always clean the mouse and the keyboard. I clean my bathtub everyday,do a general wipe down of my tub before I get in it.

As far as odd things,I compulsively crack my joints sometimes, a habit I picked up from another woman when I had to live in a shelter 4 years ago. She kept cracking her knuckles every 10 minutes or so,so for some reason I started doing it too being in the stressful situation I was in. I have'nt had anyone complain yet but I drive myself nuts cracking my joints because I did'nt do that before. My right jaw cracks too which I feel is rather odd. I don't crack my joints in front of others though, just when I'm by myself and feeling nervous.

I talk to my cats alot. I guess that's odd. Changing panties several times a day should'nt be a bad thing....I do that too sometimes. I like to wear my bra right after I wash it because it feels fresh lol. Panties too...I just love how freshly clean panties feels . Dries out during the day anyways.I like how cold water just shocks the body and immediately wakes me up.

LOL - me too. I rarely wear shoes. Mine come off as soon as I hit the door, I take them off in the car, I take them off during the kids practice and games, I take them off whenever possible.

I'll wear my bra during the day, but as soon as possible it's off and I'm in my jammies for the evening.

I won't wear heels when driving, I take them off until I get out of the car.I don't think they are safe to drive in.

I rarely go without earrings during the day. Just started that a couple years ago. Don't like big ones though. Rarely wear any other jewelry.

I'm not sure that there is anything that drives anyone I know crazy (or at least I've never been told so but) when on the phone if there is a pause or a silence I'll make a little noise kind of like a superhero theme. "Do doo dooo!" It makes my friends laugh and it's actually out of habit and not on purpose.

Oh geeze... Okay. When I'm about to start my period I get really crazy as in goofy crazy. I do really obscure things. One time I took a highlighter and drew a triangle, square, circle and pentagon on my arm then went around to my family asking them to punch in the code. When they would do it I would say, "Access denied!" and start cracking up.
"All the beats and melodies keep realities at bay but what happens when the records done and starts to fade away? Alone within myself again, I try to veil away my pain. The dirty grey surrounding me 'round..... And now I hear no sound."
