I also forgot to add that a couple weeks ago I passed a decent sized clot- probably about the size of golfball in diameter. And occasionally smaller clots as well. It's always "new" blood, bright red blood, not old brownish blood
Hello all-
I'm new here. Let me give you a little background. Last fall I had surgery to remove a large tumor that was later confirmed as borderline malignancy. It was on my right ovary, and that ovary and fallopian tube were removed as well. I was referred to a gynecological oncologist, and underwent a staging surgery to determine that there were no further tumors or concerns.
She put me on birth control to try and decrease ovary activity and hopefully prevent tumors from popping up on my remaining ovary. However, I have not been on birth control since June.
Ever since the end of July, I have been having irregular bleeding. Pretty much constantly- it never ends! At first it was every few days, but ever since the middle of August it's been pretty much constantly. It varies between heavy like the first day or two of a period, and light spotting. I have occasional very mild lower back period type cramping, but other than that no other symptoms.
I am seeing my oncologist later this week, but I'm just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and what it turned out to be for them, or what people think it could be. Of course my greatest concern is that there are more tumors, or something else, or even malignancy. I just want it to stop! It's extremely irritating and stressful considering the history.
Any input is appreciated![]()

You aren't alone Jackaroo....I just wanted to tell you that! I've had bleeding for three weeks, which seems like nothing compared to you.
I hope you get some answers next week.
