    ok, so here's the deal
me and my boyfriend have been trying to have sex for a while now. we've been taking it really slow because it's be hard for both of us. i'll explain.
First problem we incountered was the condoms we were using were too thick, and he couldn't feel anything, therefore it was really hard for him to stay hard enough to get in.
We got thinner condoms, and those helped a lot, but then it became a problem of it hurting for me.
He started fingering me more and i've stretched out a bit since then, but everytime we try, the new thinner condoms are WAY too dry, and they hurt me down there. like, someone sandpapering my private parts.
I'm on birth control, so I decided that maybe we could try without the condom.

the thing that makes me nervous is that I've been a little off with my birth control lately. Last month I started my period early.
3 days into the third week.
I continued taking all the pills from the third week and then immediately started a new pack, considering i had already been bleeding for a few days.
I'm also trying to extend the time between my periods (I'm on a trip and I don't want to be on my period while travelling home). I'm on tricyclen lo, so to extend the time between my period I've been taking the first week of one pack, and then some of the first week of a second pack, the second week of the first pack, then some of the second week of the second pack.

We've tried without a condom twice now, both times I've gotten him to pull out also. (I know that pulling out isn't really reliable, but my boyfriend has unbelieveable control over his orgasms. He can practically stop himself from cumming most times, so I trust him to pull out)

So basically what I'm asking is
    1. is the way I'm doing my birth control safe? Someone told me to just take a pack and then start a new one instead of having my period for a week, but I tried that twice and it didn't work, and I read on a blog that it still worked if you took the 14 pills from the first week of two packs and then the 14 pills from the second week and so on. I'm just looking for someone who's tried this, or someone to tell me that it still keeps me safe from pregnancy.
and 2. would I get any extra protection from him pulling out? Or would it be just as safe letting him cum inside me

I have never tried this because I'm not one to go against what is recommended. what I do know is that taking the pill continuiously is ok. the period you have on the pill is nothing more than withdrawl bleeding. You do no ovulated on the pill (in most cases). I've never heard of anyone bouncing between 2 packs of pills tho. From what I know, as long as you do not have more than 7 days in your pack that you do not take, you should be covered. I'm not sure tho what effects taking 2 weeks worth of each week would do. Maybe someone else can better help you with that

As for pulling out, You are on BC so your odds of getting pregnant are low. But what you should know is even tho your man has good control does not mean if for some reason you went off BC you couldn't get pregnant from this method. The reason its known as so unreliable is not the fact that some men cant control it, its because people do not think about the pre-cum. Every man who is aroused has it and they cant control it and Yes you can get pregnant from it. But like I said, with BC you should be fine.

With pills that are triphasic, like Ortho Tri-cyclen, the best idea for skipping your period is to skip around packs. Otherwise you're going to be dealing with large amounts of spotting. There are a few "plans" out there on the internet but none of them are neverending ... you have to have your withdrawal bleeding at some point or else your body will become very confused.
Monophasic pills like Yaz are simpler - you just keep taking them. Each pill has the same amount of hormones in it, so your body doesn't know the difference between the first week and the last week.
As far as skipping your period on triphasic pills, it's still safe. It's just confusing to your body. You take increasing amounts of hormones, and then all of a sudden the hormones drop. Not an ideal situation. If you want to skip your period, you might want to ask your gyno for monophasic pills.

Kystal: thanks for you input, and thank you for the info about pulling out. I know that it's not reliable and I would NEVER do it if I wasn't on birth control, but considering I was and I knew that it would be a lot easier on me to try sex without a condom to start with, I thought I would give it a shot, but I'm so terrified of getting pregnant that I had to have another form of birth control along with the pill. I just needed the extra big of percation to feel comfortable. Once it's easier we'll probably go back to using condoms

Little: when you say 'skip around packs' do you mean the way I'm doing it? taking the first week of pack one, then the first week of pack two, second week of pack one, second week of pack too, and so on?
I'd like to figure out a way to skip periods with the pill I have because so far I've been REALLY happy with the pill I've been on, and I'm scared to use any other ones because this one has been so good to me. I've heard a lot of horror stories about birth control giving you mood swings and stuff like that, and considering I've never had anything even close to a bad side effect with my birth control, I feel really blessed and don't want to change if I don't have to :\

    and thank you guys.
