As of today, I am 35 years old....hard to believe I've been on this earth that long! My little son gave me a wonderful card, and a gift certificate for a pedi! He's great! But having him and my husband, and all the things and people in my life I am blessed with are great gifts too.

Whats sad is, not one person at work has wished me a happy birthday. These are people I see 8 to 9 hrs a day, 5 days a week, and some I would even call friends....I couldn't even get one little happy birthday on my whiteboard. Its just disheartening a little. I mean, I've formed relationships with some of these people...and I always do something for them. Birthdays are special, in my opinion. Not even an email....

Oh well, good thing I'm only here for a half day, so I can go be with the people who really count.

    Happy Birthday!!!!

I've had that experience too with work situations. Don't know if it's done so much now days but it used to be people in offices would get a card for everyone to sign or even collect money for a gift. That got overly expensive, it was usually done by older women who worked full time for "pin money" or to "get out of the house". It would hurt when no one even said Happy Birthday.

    Happy Birthday beautiful.

You know the only problem with work, is that people work and forget things, seriously, unless you prompt them a week before, they won't think until later when it's too late. Don't take it to heart, I forget all my staff, they always had to remind me or I'd see it on facebook and say sugar... and get to the shops real quick...

You have the best, they are special absolutely, I agree.
