Default Anyone here have botox before?

I just got a gift certificate from a local radio station for a free botox session and a very reputible spa. I've been thinking about doing it for a while, but $$ has always held me back, along with a few other concerns.
Has anyone here had botox done? If so, how do you feel about it?

One concern I have is if I use this certificate, and get it done....once it wears off, will the wrinkles come back even worse than before? I'm thinking about using the free session, but not sure if I can afford the upkeep. I'm still doing research, but if anyone has had it done, and can offer up some info, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Only know of one person who's done this-a man. He seems to be addicted to it or something, he'll miss other payments to get another treatment.

Personally I mistrust the idea of injecting botulinum into the body. Why don't you look up botulism and see what you think?

I definitely will! Thank you! I always do my research before putting anything into this body. And I surely don't want to become a botox addict either. I can't believe how some people become addicted to this stuff. But I truely believe it depends on the person...if they weren't addicted to this, it would be something else, you know what I mean?

I don't know that he is physically addicted but rather that he seems to feel that he has to have it done.

Exactly, and I don't want to do that either. I have until the end of the month before my certificate expires...so at least I've got some time to do my research.

I've never but my Mom did once. She hated it and vowed to never do it again. The wrinkles didn't come back but she would complain everyday for weeks that it felt like her muscles where twitching and carrying on in the last few weeks before it wore off. She hated the feeling of it there.

Thanks Krystal! Thats another part that I'm afraid of!! I don't know....might find someone to give this to. My girlfriend gave me the third degree for even considering "injecting something" into my skin. She said her theory was we should go old gracefully. I told her I agree...but I still hate the wrinkles on my forehead!

LOL. You are so far from "growing old" gracefully or otherwise!!!!
Give it another 20 years and see what you think then?

I won't lie, I am all for "home improvements" as I call them, but botox is one that concerns me. It's essentially putting formaldehyde in your body. There are other alternatives to this like restylane. It's up to you and wish you luck with whatever you decide.

My moms area she hated were the crowsfeet and right above the bridge of her nose. Her forehead is what kept twitching on her. Honestly, I watched her get the injections and I could tell it didn't exactly feel good, and she said it kinda burned afterwards. Plus its not forever, it only lasts a few months so is it really worth the one shot if you just have to continue by paying out of pocket. Love the skin your in. I'm sure I'll freak out about my first wrinkle but those wrinkles tell the story of your life. I honestly think older women look very beautiful.
