    Default Breasts implants after 55

My mother seriously considers having her breast enlargement surgery. I am really worried about her because she is 58. I do not want to hurt her feelings by saying she is too old for breast augmentation but I do think she is. I have read a lot about(edited) but the site does not say anything about the age limits. Also, the FDA site is not talking much about the age factor. Any advice will be appreciated. I would love to hear from women my mother's age who went through breast augmentation. As an additional info , my mother is generally healthy and wants enlargement from B to D.

I've been doing some work with women 40+ and what I've learned is that age should not be a barrier to what a woman wants...physically or emotionally. What does the number have to do with it? If implants will make your mom happy, why not? Do you know why she wants them? Will they make her more confident? Happier? If it does something positive for her spirit as well as her physical body, I think it's okay.

I don't want to sound like I'm on a soapbox but in the last 6 months, I've learned a lot from a great group of women who have opened my mind. The funny thing is...I didn't know my mind was closed.

I can't say first hand, but I had a dance student who was 67 years old recently. Within the last 2 years she had a breast lift with augmentation and a tummy tuck. She told me that she recovered very fast and absolutely love them. She had no regrets whatsoever. I'm not sure why being older means you shouldn't look like a fox. More power to her!

As long as your mother is healthy, 58 is only as old as she thinks it is.
And I personally think it's a great age!

I realize I'm a little late to the convo but I belong to a support forum that has been really helpful.
