I did something incredibly stupid. So this period, which started two days ago, I've been having trouble getting tampons in. This morning, I took out my tampon because it hurt so bad, and ANOTHER one fell out. I had TWO tampons in. The other one was from my LAST period. I am so scared right now. Am I going to be okay? I can't believe it, I've never done anything like this before. I am very afraid.

Well, have you had fevers? Was there any pus? If not, I'd venture a guess it wasn't there as long as you think. TSS is serious but rare. My mom had it once back in the early 70s, she got it from a forgotten tampon. Look up the Mayo Clinic web site and read what they have to say. I think you would have had symptoms. But read up and then call your doc?

I've had headaches all month, and I figured it was from my birth control. I had muscle pain in my leg, but once again, I thought it was from the birth control pills. I've also had diarrhea all month, but, blamed on the birth control. So I don't know what I can blame for these symptoms. I was feverish last week, and my temp. kept fluxuating. I think I'll be okay, I might have just freaked out early. I'll just keep an eye on my symptoms and hope I start to feel better.

Put in a call to your doc. TSS can come on suddenly when the bacterial level reach a critical level. Better safe than sorry on this.

They should have an answering service and you can leave a message, the doc will call it they feel this warrents talking with you. Or you could call a hospital ask a nurse line?

I will wait and see, because I don't have the best insurance >_< I think I'll be okay, since I haven't had any major symptoms. Thanks for helping me feel better about it, though I don't feel so frantic anymore.

Good luck, I hate that feeling, it's never happened, but I'm always scared it will.

Make sure to go in on Monday and give us an update!
