Really Strange Question

I'm only 13, but I feel a pull towards women instead of men. I know in order to actually know a choice, I have to sleep with a guy and a girl. I have been somewhat involved with a guy, and I hate cocks. Sorry guys but they stink, smell, and and I can't get over the taste.
I've never slept with a women, but I like women more than men. My mom refuses to believe me, and tells me she won't believe me until I have sex with a women.
Is it normal to have crushes on other girls? I have a crush on my best friend and she doesn't know it. She knows I uses to like her, but that's all she knows. What should I do?

Firstly it's perfectly fine to have the feelings you have. You're young and exploring your own sexuality now. I've been with women before and it's nice, albeit different than with my DH.

On a side note though you mentioned how you "hate cocks" and frankly I doubt you've had enough experience with men and penis' to make that statement. Apparently the ones you have experienced did not really keep themselves clean so your opinion is a bit skewed by that.

Just give it time and you'll naturally gravitate to which gender you prefer the most. Despite what pop media has one believe these day it's not something to do to be "cool" or "chic" but a choice to make as to who you want to spend your life with in the end that matters. Believe me I've had enough male friends who complained that when they gave oral to women at times they felt sick because of a smell or taste or something else in that department. That's not solely the domain of one gender but all depends on the individual.

Take it easy and time will tell which you prefer.

Absolutely. I think you'll find, though, at this age, there are going to be a lot less females who will so readily admit something like this. So you may have to wait a few years and see how things pan out.

Sweetie you are at the age for these sorts of feelings. Many girls have them. Your hormones are starting to really re-adjust and you'll go through all sorts of change in the next 10 years or so. It's very likely the boys will start to improve in your eyes but if not, that's ok too. We are fortuante to live in time when we have more openness to all this.

Hormones can do all sorts of funny things to your mind anyway, but you're only 13 and it is all very new to you. Don't be in a hurry. You still have lots of time to figure out your true orientation.

For what it's worth, I don't think you have to sleep with anybody to know whether you prefer boys or girls. I've never done anything with another guy but I certainly know that men don't interest me in that way at all. On the other hand I knew I really liked girls even before I ever slept with one.

There will be plenty of time to figure out who you'd rather be with. Or some people even are indifferent I think. It really just depends. I've been with both (no longterm girlfriends or anything like that), but I have found I am naturally more attracted to men and just went through a bi-curious phase.

You are still very young to have to decide. I do agree that most girls your age are probably not going to be experimenting with other females, but trust me by college, you'll be able to figure it out and until then, don't let your mom or anyone else make you feel like you have to do more than you want to because you have to "prove" something. it'll come together in time
