Cool Leopard Print too much for a wedding?

I just bought a cute strapless leopard print dress from The Limited (they still have it if you want to check it out) and a black Bolero to wear with. I have a wedding in December for a friend of mine. Is Leopard print too much for a wedding? She's quite the fashionista herself so I don't think she'd be offended but is it appropriate?

This is the couple's day to shine, not yours. ANYthing that might be seen as stealing their show is inappropriate. As a guest dressing appropriately shows your respect for the event and the couple. I haven't seen the dress but the fact that you are asking, says you know it's not quite the thing for this occasion. Stick with something more conventional for the wedding and save the leopard print for clubbing or dinner.

I agree with WC. I think guests should dress a little more reserved for weddings as you shouldn't upstage the wedding party, most of all the bride. The last thing you need is to have the conversation turn to you and your leopard print attire by fellow wedding guests.

Yeah sorry to burst your bubble, your looking at it the right way, "she's a fashionist" but you will stand out as well, which is not the intention of a wedding, it's the Bride's day and she should be the only one standing out

Yeah it would draw attention to you.. but i am the type of person who usually stands out amongst others, and I highly doubt that all the focus will go to you from the bride. Everybody that is going to the wedding knows who its for and they may talk about you for a split second but the focus will be on the bride the entire time.. so if i were you. I'd go for it but thats just me.

Okay so if the leopard is out, that leaves a bright blue strapless? I am limited right now unless I manage by some miracle to lose 10 lbs before then.

I can't really afford to buy anything else right now and I bought the leopard to also wear to work. It's not super crazy leopard. Seriously go to The limited website under dresses and you can see it. It's the print for sure but I am thinking maybe with the bolero and black pumps? Trust me, I will not be attempting to outshine the bride and it's a large wedding (about 150 guests)

    Thoughts?

Why don't you put both on, take a picture, email it to her and ask her.

That way your on a sure thing... As, she will just think your "asking her opinion" but in reality, your giving her the option..

    Perfect don't you think?

How bright blue are we talking? 80's electric blue?

I looked up the dress, still on the fence though...
