I'm about to head to bed. Got to thinking about going to sleep rituals. I drink my chlorophyll. I Have to floss and brush and wash my face. Fluff up my pillows. I don't sleep in clothes unless I'm camping or the kids have someone sleeping over. Then I can get all snuggly in my bed, turn off the light and sleep.

Waking up, I like to stretch a little before I get out of bed. I generally wake up pretty perky, even if it's the phone waking me up.

    What are your rituals?

    This is a good thread.

I do the following before bed:

I make a phone call while I smoke my last cigarette.

I go brush my teeth and wash up.

I plug my cell into the charger and then turn it on silent.

    I get undressed... Completely.

I masturbate and then I go to sleep.

Or... I read then masturbate and then go to sleep. It depends.

In the morning I do the following:

I check my cell phone for missed calls and text messages. Take it off of silent.

    I flip on my computer.

I go to the kitchen and make my coffee.

I then take my coffee to my office and check emails.

I later get my everyday phone call and have my cigarette.

I do this ritual everyday and it suits me well. I like to have routine.

I like to keep that healthy green glow .
I am MCS (multiple chemical sensitive) and the only deodorant I can use is a crystal, which has a limited effectiveness. I've used chlorophyll for 16 years, it is a internal deodorant and it provides some very absorbable iron (I've tended to anemia all my life). If I run out and don't take it for a week or so, I can smell myself, it does make a difference!

-brush my teeth..this is about 2 or 3 am
-pop out my dailies if i'm wearing them
-fill up the dog dish with water..hate getting awoken about 4 am by a whimpering dog
-leave any necessary messages on my computer..sometimes i even leave unnessary messages as i turns out
-strip..put on my sleep pants or sleep shorts or just go bare balls depending on how hot or cold i am
-mull over the day's happenings or tomorrow's agenda in bed..this either puts me to sleep immediately or keeps me up for hours

-in the morning i lie in bed until i can focus on where i am and what day it is..i am not a morning person and have often thot that therapy is rife with "morning people"..
-force myself to eat breakfast, which i hate but is necessary so i can take my metformin tablet..i hate coffee and tea and any hot drinks for that matter
-about 10:30 -11 am i am awake and functioning normal, altho that is often up for debate..please don't tell me anything important before this..my brain will not process it

    Bedtime:

-Eat a snack, usually pomegranate seeds
-Put the notebooks I need for the next days classes into my backpack
    -Brush my teeth
-Change into one of my boyfriend's shirts and my nighttime shorts
    -Climb into bed
-Watch a half hour or so of boring repeated news stories
    -Turn on my alarm
    -Turn off my alarm
-Repeat the process of turning off and on of my alarm about 15-20 times (it has turned into a mild compulsion).
    -Sleep

    Waking up:

    -Wish I could still sleep
-Get the printer printing the ton of powerpoint slides for the days lectures
-Take my meds with a glass of chocolate milk
    -Sometimes eat breakfast
    -Turn on radio
-Listen to radio while doing my hair
    -Brush my teeth
-Get the printed lecture notes, put in backpack
    -Leave for the bus
-Technically at full functioning mode at about 10am (I try to get a good sleep for the days I know I will be working with somewhat dangerous chemicals in the morning labs at school...was not fully awake one morning and burnt myself pretty bad-learned my lesson).

    Oo fun...

    At night:

    - Pee and brush my teeth (I have to pee before bed, even if I just did like 10 minutes before that)

    - Moisturize my face

    - Grab a bottle of water to keep on my nightstand

    - plug my phone into the charger

    - Get undressed, maybe read a little bit while I get comfy

    - Have sex (not to make it sound like it's just part of a routine, but hey. When the opportunity arises... )

    - Spoon.. it knocks me out instantly

    In the Morning:

    - Do a HUGE stretch

    - Turn off the alarm and cuddle for 15 more minutes

    - Get dressed

    - Unplug the phone and proceed to carry it everywhere

    - Pee and brush my teeth again

    - Brush my hair

    - Put on some eyeliner and mascara

    - Throw on any jewelry I might want to wear (depends if I'm in the mood)

    - Make sure I find and clip my work I.D. badge onto my jeans pocket so I'm sure I don't leave without it.

    - Grab a water bottle out of the fridge for the day.

    - Put on my shoes and jacket.

    - Drive to work.

    - Get a coffee in the cafeteria (don't talk to me until I'm AT LEAST halfway done with it).

    - Check Facebook via my cell phone while my computer starts up

    - Get situated with work e-mails and such

    - Check WH

    - Proceed with the work day. Take breaks here and there to shop around on websites and such.

    I've got to be direct
    If I'm off please correct
    You're standing on my neck....

WC, you think of the funnest threads...

    Time to sleep...
-Plug in my phone and iPod on their respective chargers and also turn on my iPod for my "nighttime" playlist
    -Turn on my alarm
-Washroom, where I brush my teeth, floss and perform my excruitiatingly long skincare/make up removal ritual...
-I like pretty silky lingerie so thats what I usually wear to bed...put that on
-Turn the coffee brew timer on for 5:00am
-Walk around the house checking the doors and windows and then turning on the alaram
    -Read for a bit
-I then make sure that there is nothing on with any light visible...I cannot sleep with any light source around, not sure why but there it is...This involves flipping my phone on its front and turning my clock around
-FINALLY, I walk around to my sisters bedrooms to check up on them and leave the porch on light for when my parents come home
-It takes me FOREVER to fall asleep so I usually lay there in the dark waiting for sleep to come...

    Time to wake up...
-I am NOT a morning person so I usually have my alarm set to my iPod so I can wake up with a jolt...Disturbed "Down with the Sickness" works just fine at the moment
-Turn my phone on ringer and turn on my laptop and the radio
-Morning skincare ritual, brushing my teeth, my hair, floss...
    -Make breakfast for everyone
    -Shower
-Check emails and phone calls while my hair is air drying
Then comes the task of makeup, clothes and preparing for the office...
