Sounds like you could have a sinus infection. Is your mucus yellow or greenish?

Take your right hand and spread your index and middle finger apart into a V shape. Now press those fingers, gently, above your eyebrows. You can also take your V shaped fingers and press, and gently, under your eyes sockets on the top of your cheeks. If any mild discomfort comes from that then you very likely have a sinus infection.

If neither causes a noticeable discomfort then you likely have what is called Rhinovirus....the common cold. Take some decongestants for a few days, and increase your water intake and you should be fine in a few days. If the pain keeps going then go to a medicenter and see what the doc has to say.
