My favourite author is Stephen King. I own a bunch of his novels and I just love his writing! Does anyone else read him?

I recommend The Dead Zone, The Shining, Carrie, Rose Madder, and The Dark Tower series. All of his books are just awesome!

Went through a phase when I read a ton of him, that was many years ago - kind of got burned out on that genre. I did put several of his short stories on tape for a high school reading program a few years ago and enjoyed revisiting his work.

I think the Shining is my fav, probably because I've been to the hotel. They do a Halloween ball every year. You can look it up - The Shining Ball at the Stanley Hotel. They are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. It's too rich for my budget right now but one of these years I plan to go to the ball!

Really? I had no idea it was an actual place! Is it haunted in real life?

Yes, it's the Stanley Hotel, it is haunted. Stephen King didn't write the book there but did stay there. _Part of the movie was filmed in the hotel but wasn't used in the final cut. They show the unedited film continuously on one channel in the hotel rooms. You can find it if you do a seach for the Stanley Hotel Shining Ball.
