I used to work at this medical centre and eventually moved up the ranks enough to be a stand-in when the office manager wasnt around...I found people seemed to start alot of their requests with "You're going to hate me for this..." or "You're not going to like this..." - So from personal experience, dont start a sentence that way b/c I am automatically going to think SAY NO and tune out for the rest of your explanation...
