    Unhappy implantation bleeding or abortion?

hi everyone...i am very confused right now if i should take this as implantation bleeding or a sign that i just lost my baby. recently, i took my first pack of pills to prevent pregnancy on October 3, first day of my period for this month. after 14 pills, we decided to have a baby so i stopped taking it. on the 15th and 16th day, we had unprotected sex. now it's the 20th day of my cycle and i thought i was spotting this morning. however, i noticed it's quite redder than supposed to be "brown" spotting, although it is not as much as the normal menstrual flow. also, if i am menstruating, it is way too early since i am not expecting my next period to be coming until this november 1st. could this still be spotting? or have i just lost my baby?

My gut is telling me you probably aren't pregnant, and the symptoms you are experiencing are because you stopped taking your BC. Also, it wouldn't be a miscarriage. I don't even think you had enough time for an egg to implant itself into your uterus, that takes a while. Do you know when you ovulate? How long were you on BC before you stopped taking it?

Let's just say you were ovulating on the 15th day. You said this stuff happened on the 20th day? That's only 5 days to concieve, implant, and miscarry. . .I'm not a medical professional, but I really don't think that's possible. Implantation bleeding could be likely if you were ovulating that day, and the BC wasn't effective anymore.

If you really think you're pregnant, take a test. I think it would be too early to tell now, so perhaps buy a few tests. Take one now, if negative, wait a week and try again. Good luck!

Default Oops, forgot a few things

Also, Google "Implantation Bleeding". If you aren't already, you can track your periods on mymonthlycycles.com. It also gives you an estimated ovulation calendar.

It *could* have been implantation bleeding, take a pregnancy test to be sure. Also, it's very likely your body was like, "Hey, hey! Where's that pill you take every day?" and decided to trick you. Our bodies do funny things. I had bleeding when I stopped taking my pill, too.

It's just not plausible that you had a miscarriage, so don't worry. Miscarriage is painful, trust me. You'd know something was very wrong. Plus, it was far too early for you to miscarry. Miscarriage gives you very painful cramps, I'm talking extreme pain, lower back pain, and a lot of bleeding. That's what I experienced when it happened to me. Not to sound gross, but you'd see clots and tissue coming out, too.

Some women have a of a time getting pregnant, especially after coming off BC. Some women are extra fertile, and can even get pregnant on BC, so it's possible for you. The best I can tell you is to take some pregnancy tests. If you aren't pregnant, then it was your body adjusting to just coming off BC pills.

    Default Thank you, Twills!

I really appreciate it. I really want to get pregnant because my husband and I barely see each other as he works far from home. I hope this is it. Thank you, again. Hope you have a great day!

My honest feeling is that your body is protecting you.

You went back on the pill after 4 months of being off of it and then 1/2 way through basically you stopped the pills.

They're trying to work but you broke the cycle so they created a period and basically that's also why your feeling dizzy.

Let nature get itself back to normal, that being that you've decided to stop taking them. It will take another 30 days or so to get back into any form of rhythm your body is confused.
