Strange Period?

Hey all,
I'm 16 years old and have had my period for about 3 or 4 years.

It always comes every 28 days and lasts 5 days and is fairly heavy.

I recently got my period a day early and has been very light.

at times it has even completely stopped. normally it is a darkish red, but this one has been light pink.

any ideas what could be wrong??


May I also add, I am sexually active.

I used birth control for about a year, but stopped in March.
I havent changed any of that stuff either:S

So you've been sexually active in the past 9 months without any bc? Are you using any kind of contraception?

Yeah, my boyfriend always wears a condom, and always pulls out before he ejaculates.

Assuming you've been careful with that, then pregnancy is unlikely. Sometimes our bodies just get a little out of wack and we never know exactly what caused it. Unless you have anything else unusual happen it would probably be best to wait for your next period. Do make a note on your calendar or someplace when you start and end you period every month.

If it seems to be really light next month you might try some ginger root tea to get it moving alongmore normally.

oh, actually I just remembered.
I was 2 and a half weeks late last month...

Start just making a little tick mark on your calendar for the start and finsh. You may find that you aren't as regular as you thought. I used to make a single line for light days and an X for heavier days. It's good to be aware of your cycle. I would regulate mine using ginger tea.
