Hey can anybody tell me if you are out of shape and you just start exercising like at the beginning of the month pretty hard, can it throw your period off? Even if you've had a pretty regular cycle. I posted this in the other forum too, but It has a lot to do with fitness too. My workout buddy says it can....

I think it could. But also consider all the other factors: stress, your diet, the amount of sleep you get, the amount of water you drink everyday, and whether or not you were protected when you had sex the last time, hormonal issues, and a whole lot more.

With my diet gone bad and crazy, my emotions on roller coaster lately, I am still having my period amissed. And then comes my new status, having all the adrenaline rush of being back to being "in love" and you know, 'what happens when you are engaged thing' - the bedroom golf (lol...), My period has gone wild, I feel the cramps though...hence I go belly dancing to shake it off...

If you work out hard your body is changing...so with those changes your cycle can definitely be off a bit. Keep an eye on it, and take heed to what Cat said as well...if you are in a relationship that is active watch out for those hormones, they change as well.

Exercise, diet, body composition can all have an effect on your period. Sometimes extra fat can inhibit hormones from working properly -- including ones that start and stop your period... losing excess fat can throw off the hormones temporarily as they get adjusted to your new weight etc...

If you are working out hard, and not eating as much your body is adjusting to some changes , so are your hormones. Making sure you are giving your body all the food it needs and that your diet is a healthy one and things should be okay.

You should probably see a doctor if you are concerned, let them assess if you are handling your weightloss attempts appropriately for your health.

I think you can. But we must also take into account all other factors: stress, diet, the amount of time you sleep, drink lots of water every day, and if they are protected when they last had intercourse, hormonal problems, and more.
