George Sodini ... Pick-up Artists, is he "one of you?"

Google George Sodini and you'll see that he recently went on a shooting spree to his local gym and killed three women. Some blogs by pickup artists are saying that he's "one of them," moreover if he had immersed himself more into "the game," he could have been saved from himself.
What do you think? I know WH's male population has quite a few members of the PUA community.

My personal opinion - Sodini was mentally ill and should not have blamed women for his problems. I think that perhaps our attitudes about what is male and masculine in our society, including the attitudes of the bloggers I mentioned above, kept him from seeking professional help.

Good question Little. There does seem to be a strong "macho" attitude in that group and a lack of emotional connection and sensitivity.

Wow, just read his diary. He had a child somewhere but never bothered to make any connection of any kind. Blamed everyone one else for his situation and never understood that looks weren't all it's about. I've known people like this, so negative. He even states that he has to keep away from a neighbor who is too positive it might deter him from killing. He chooses to direct it all at women. As if they are what? Responsible for making him happy?

Certainly a sad case and mentally "off".
Doubt if his association with any group would have made much difference unless he actually made freinds within it.

Sodini sounds like his mama dropped him on his head one too many times. He based the whole value of his existence on how long ago he had a girlfriend and how long ago he had sex. It's little wonder that with his combination of cynicism, desperateness, and superficiality he couldn't get a woman to give him the time of day.

I had to look up that PUA stuff and ended up learning a number of things about the 'seduction community'. I was laughing most of the time. A number of those guys sound almost as needy and whiny as Sodini all the while patting themselves on the back for not being 'beta males'. Yeah, I think he was one of them but I seriously doubt anybody could have saved him.
