I'm finding it hard to believe this is a completely one-sided temper tantrum by your daughter, with no catalyst. Every action has a reaction and I think this is her reacting to something.

Perhaps your parents have an answer for you since she seemed to find their home a safe haven and probably opened up to them about what is causing her to act out?

It doesn't matter how aggrivating a teenager can be. No one should put their hands on another person. Your husband choked your daughter out of anger and frustration, and even if you both believe it was well-deserved, it is not the correct way to handle the situation, and it is also ILLEGAL.

I agree with WC.. counciling, both individual counciling for you, your husband, and your children as well as group counciling somwhere down the line when you are all ready, would benefit your family greatly!
    thanks for ur support

    unhapy..

Clearly your un-happy with the answers..

We're not here to bash you, in-fact we don't allow that, but you asked for opinions, can you not open your heart as a Mother and see, that this is possible?

What I missed and people missed is you stating that "YOU" took her to a "safe house" "YOU" took her to your sisters I believe.. that means you love your daughter.

Maybe he has hurt you in the past? That you don't want to admit and if not him someone else?

Your actions were great... Your thought pattern now is defending your husband not your "blood".. there has to be a reason for that....

Do you really need someone in your life so much that you can't see that he was strangling her and that all you see is that he didn't murder her?

Bruises means it was hard , really hard... and as I said she would have to have feared.

You will see this when your ready...

    Take care.

i dont understand why you have asked for our opinion, we are unbiased, not involved in the situation, but the red flags have gone up. we cant tell you what you want to hear.
