It has three specific appeals for me.
Aesthetics. I think the vagina (I know, not the correct technical term) is a beautiful, beautiful thing. All of it. Even when its closed and you see only a slit or maybe the protruding labia. But when you open it then it's almost like opening a flower. It's also great that every vagina is unique (that's part of the reason why I like pubic hair, because even though its not a part of the vagina I think its own unique nature adds another dimension to the character of a woman's pubic region).
I wonder if that thinking is hardwired into me. I don't find penises attractive at all for example, but is that because they really aren't attractive or because I'm straight and have no sexual attraction to men?
Intimacy. It's obviously extremely intimate when you have your mouth, face, and fingers buried in a woman's nether regions. It's difficult to get any closer to someone physically and I think there is also a strong emotional intimacy being expressed. And there is not just the vagina of course but also the back door, and using your mouth and fingers can add another layer of intimacy and pleasure. Just be careful with cross contamination!
Pleasure. Good sex consists of a variety of activities but I think it's difficult to top the pleasure a woman experiences from oral sex. I can't talk for all other guys but it's a huge turnon for me when a woman experiences and expresses that pleasure.
I can see why a guy, or girl for that matter, could find the area as attractive just do the smooth skin and simple folds but to me...no thanks. Maybe it is just because I hate the way mine looks (thanks to a genetic medical condition) which makes me dislike all others. I cannot fix the way I look, but every time my guy says "I really like your vagina"-again not proper words but no guy is honestly going to say "I love your vulva"...anyway, anytime he says that to me I quiver. What do women think? Would you agree? Just wondering if it's true artistic appreciation on my part or just the hormones talkin
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
Well O'Keeffe made a name for herself with her flower paintings, many of which are very vulva-ish. In pre-christian times in many cultures, doorways were painted red representing the vulva.

Check out the book, The New Tantra Simple and Sexy by Susan Crain Bakos. The White Lotus East web site has some good info too.

I was looking at the website and was surprised to learn that I had already been doing some of those things, like trying to keep my breathing deep and slow or practicing ejaculation control. Looks like I'll have some fun homework ahead of me.![]()
I don't agree with them on everything but that's the good part - you can learn and explore and run with what works or "speaks" to you.

"All the beats and melodies keep realities at bay but what happens when the records done and starts to fade away? Alone within myself again, I try to veil away my pain. The dirty grey surrounding me 'round..... And now I hear no sound."
