Exclamation Help, I need to look like a model!

I have a photoshoot coming up on the 21st and I need tips on how to get/keep my skin clear, get rid of undereye circles, and even skin tone. (How to do 1940's style hair and makeup would be much appreciated, too.) I suck at beauty regimens. So far, I wash my face with St. Ives medicated apricot scrub, then it's a sensitve skin stridex pad wipe, some eye cream that's supposed to work but doesn't really, then Olay Definity, which is lovely for my uber-sensitive skin, but I'm just not getting the results I want/need.

There's no photoshopping with this one, since it'll be done with (gasp) film. I have MAC Studio Fix, but not a very good foundation. With chronic pain and fatigue *and* insomnia... well, it's been taking its toll on my skin. I'm trying to be a good model here. Ok, so it's for a friend's photography class assignment, but I still want to do my part. And I need to do these things and relearn hair and makeup, period, for future shoots anyway.

    Someone be my savior?

Default This just might work . . .

Ask your friend about black and white shots or brownand white photos. Everyone skins looks supermodel status. Good luck with that.

P.S. Just have fun with it, your confidence will shine through the photos making you look like a million bucks. The hottest thing is someone who is fine and knows it.

Thanks, guys I found the coolest makeup tutorials on hrmaquillage.com, even a 40's one. So far, I've been hitting the gym (I *heart* the eliptical for no impact cardio) and cut out (most of) the soda and bad food. Luckily, the shoot's going to be in black and white film, so B&W is good, but film = no photoshop, eep. My skin's look a lot better, tone-wise (thank you, Definity), just got to get a few blemishes to the point where I can cover them in makeup.

The shoot's sometime early-mid next week... if I get the pics scanned, I'll post links. I'm so excited, lol, even if it is just a student photo assignment. I <3 1940's looks, though I don't really think I can pull them off well. /crossing fingers

Well, I survived the shoot and the final polaroid looked pretty good, so I can't wait to see what the actual print looks like... can you imagine, 3 bloody hours for 1 shot?

Dermalogia makes a great treatment foundation that allows you to adjust the level of coverage from sheer to concealing. It's great for covering breakouts and giving the appearance of an even skin tone. Dermalogica Treatment Foundation - #1 at DermStore
