today i had an appointment for a preconception consultation. Ok so they did a urine test which came back out positive i was thrilled, becuase my hubby and i was trying to get pregnant. Then they had to do a sonogram, now when the doc did the sonogram he saw nothing. He said it could be an early pregnancy or an ectopic pregnancy. What i've read so far about ectopic pregnancy isnt good. I am now worried. I have to call back tomorrow becuase they took a blood test and will be getting results tomorrow, it will be able to tell me how far along i am. Question, if they can tell me how far along i am by the blood test does that mean its not an ectopic pregnancy? Also, the doctor told me if i am cramping by midnight or spotting/bleeding to go to the emergency room. I am cramping a little , it feels as though my period wanna get here, i mentioned that to him. I see no blood. I have tender very tender boobs. Any advice or any experience with ectopic pregnancy? please do share. This is my first time being pregnant and i really dont want it to turn out to be an ectopic.

Unless you have any stomach pain I wouldn't worry too much. It's maybe just early. If he was worried he'd of kept you in. Just relax and not think of it.
Remember your body can play to your worrys, so it might be making your stomach ache because you're thinking of it constantly.

    Default Congrats!

Well honey I hope everything is ok? Did you find out anything? I can tell you this much. Cramping in that early is normal. It was for me. I was pretty tiny when I got pregnant and my doctor told me cramping means body growing. Too much of it and if it beomces unbearable with spotting, call your doctor emediatly!

But... I think you are fine! Just pray. That's all you can do.

Hello everyone, I am new to this website. I came to this perticular site because I had an ectopic pregnancy right before Chirstmas this past year (2008). I was only into my fourth week and I had just gotten off the plain to go visit my mother and family in Florida for the holidays. I found out really early too that I was prego. It was also my first time and was so happy. The following day after flying into Florida my mother had to take me to the emergancy room. I had very sharp pains in between my ovary's and left ovary pain and spotting. To make a long story short, after multible ultrasounds and check up's with in 5 hours they put me in emergancy surgery and told me that I was having an ectopic pregnancy. My left tube errupted and of course I ended up losing it. At the end of the surgery I was told by my Dr. that if I didn't come in that night that I would have died because I had 300miligrams of blood in my stomach. I really hope patricias213 does not have to go through what I did. In case you do, the biggest thing that got me through it, was thinking of all of the people I knew that have had stillborn babies, or lost their baby's at 2,3,4 months along. I was fortunate that I was only 4 weeks in. My husband and I can't wait to start trying again!!! Good luck to all and sorry about the novel.

I am so happy for you!!! Congratulations. I realized after I wrote the thread that it was from a couple of years ago now. Thanks for your reply.
