Icky, brown discharge!!!

hi. i'm 17 years old and i started birth control about a month ago. its jolessa or something like that, and its where i only get my period once every three months. the doctor told me to take it around the same time every day, well i missed one day and then i keep forgetting to take it at the same time. i am sexually active and my boyfriend and i just had sex a while ago, and the condom broke but i was told i have nothing to worry about. but i've been having like a light brown discharge for a couple days now is this normal? what should i do? and what exactly is it

I have a brownish/whitish discharge... im not due for my period for another 3 days. I usually get the brown discharge the day of. not never have i had it this far in advance. its so heavy that i have to wear a panty liner everyday. im on the pill.. have been for years. i dont think im pregnant. any ideas what this may be??

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if someone knows the answer to this, I really don't want to have to go to the doctor. I'm 22, have been very regular with my periods since I started. Now for the past 2 months I haven't actually bled but have been having this brown sticking substance instead. I get enough of it that it could be my period but it's not red like blood. I have had it before but only at the very end of my period. Does anyone know what is going on?

Are you on birth control?

Because, also you can become irregular and therefore, have irregular types of periods and birth control seems to keep things more on track.

i have taken meds for a uti but 2 days after the medication i started getting this sticky brown discharge.
is this apart of the uti? if so why am i getting it after taking the antibiotics.

soo for about a week now i have had this darkk brown discharge instead of the usual white discharge. it doesn`t smell, and there is no discomfort at all. i am sexually active with my boyfriend and i am on the pill. the last time we were sexually active was the day my period ended and the condom didn`t break.. so i know can`t be pregnant, and i know i`m not spotting. i had my period 2 and a half weeks ago.. can anybody let me know if this is normal, or if i should be worried?

I'm having this problem too, it's been a week now and occasionally it's slightly pink but it happens on and off I've noticed. I'm taking antibiotics but this isn't listed among the side-effects, do I have a reason to worry or is the answer pretty much the same. It looks a bit like mucous and old blood with again the occasional fresh blood here and there, like something I would get at the end of my period except I'm having no cramps or really any other problems down there. Should I be worried about kidney problems or is this a normal cycle? I'm 26.

Also I've not had sex let alone any unprotected sex.

This is the best advice. The nurse can give some advice over the phone, but she will be able to hear all you have to say, ask questions and give you the best advice. It can be scary but remember that they are there to help you and they will not or should not judge you.
