Ever heard of pollups? Me either but thats what my mom says i have and is caused from allergies?..My doc on the other hand has no clue and says I might not be brushing far enough and am getting trapped food in the back of my teeth lol *shakes head*

anyway - i've been getting these little round things on the back of my tongue/throat (its so far back I can't see or feel them with a finger) all I know is that Ifeel like I have bad breathe for a few weeks and all of a sudden I get a tickle in my throat - cough - and this little chunk (like a cottage cheese chunk) flies out - its yellow and STINKS like nothing you've ever smelled (sorry - this is grosse)

and thats why I need help! any ideas?

I got that too and it was because I had, had soo many tonsil infections in the past that my tonsils were scarred and it was trapping food and pollen in them, when I took one to my dr he said oh well lets go ahead and schedule you with the Ear nose and throat specialist and they took my tonsils out!! I know that those tonsil balls (thats what my mom and I called them lol) are annoying and super gross!! They also seemed to come around the time I was getting sick again!! Hope I was at least a little helpful my dr never did give me a name for them!!!

I have these too. They are called tonsil stones. I bought a kit to get ride of them that I need to try. My doctor removed a couple at my last visit but basically it's debris or junk that collects in the back of your tonsils and it can also result from post nasal drip.

I have that too...It is so gross, is there any way to prevent it. I'm constantly chewing gum or using breath mints because I feel like I have dragon breath all the time. I always thought I was the only one with this problem!!! Nice to know I'm not alone!!

    KD22-
I get the same thing! I have on allergy medication for years and my doctors (who's a close to retirement) said he had no idea what these "chunky" things were! My husband, sister 'n law and brother 'n law all have allergies and they gets these as well. I notice that when my allergies are worse, or if I'm close to getting a sinus infection I get the chunkies more frequently. I have no idea what to do either but the bad breath is awful! I'm also having to constantly chew gum!
I thought I was alone in this so I'm glad others have the same problem.

Sounds like we all get it... I have really good dental hygene (mostly because I hate having to go to the dentist!) I brush, floss, use a mouth rinse and breath freshener... and I STILL get it!

I mostly get it when I have a cold... but if I am somewhere where, heaven forbid, I forget my toothbrush, floss and mouth rinse... I get them.

So it might be either allergies or you need to brush and floss, ect.
