Yes All those symptoms you have listed for PCOS i have.. including the type 2 diabetes as well... i have been a pcos patient for some years now. and all the symptoms you have found vary from person to person.. some will have all the symptoms and some will only have a few. they put me on Glucafage.. which is a medication a lot of doctors use to control the symptoms of pcos. its actually used as a diabetic medication as well. once i started Glucafage everything went on track and put my body back to normal after a couple of months my periods started to regulate and since then have been good. i then got diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes about 3 years after being diagnosed with pcos. but i will say theres not much yuou can do for pcos. there is no cure, but its not anything that is life threatening or makes you sickly. it just can hinder your ability to be fertile. but in a lot of cases pcos patients still do get pregnant. ui have a friend who had pcos since she was 13 and was told she couldnt have kids then when she was 23 she got pregnant with twins. so there is the possibility of having kids again if you get your hormone levels controlled. its just a little harder to get pregnant as a pcos patient than it is as a regular typical woman. dont lose faith you can have kids, it just is a bit more of a challenge is all. but now being diabetic as well as having pcos i have finally got my body under control and my hormones at normal levels to where im fully capable of getting pregnant normally. I am now. just found out. lol so im excited. ive been through the motions with pcos and being a diabetic so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

It is also very difficult to handle because your periods are usually more painful and heavy than a average menusal cycle. Your period can also stop for months at a time. After four months of missing my cycle and went in to the dr. I found out that i was five months pregnate. So even if any of you are worried about pcos, there is hope. I fear i am in the same situation. Its been almost three months (march 25th) since my last menstural cycle. Ive had 10 negative hpt test,( i had negative tests while i was five months preggo with my son) as well as one blood test so far. And i still get a negative result. I just want all of you worried about pcos to know that there is hope, because despite what the doctors say, i have a beautiful, healthy and happy 1 year old boy.

    Default PCOS and Pregnancy

First off I think I should give some background about me, sorry for the length. I am 21 years old and have been diagnosed with PCOS for about the past 3 years. I first got my period when I was 14, for about a year it was normal every 28-30 days and lasted 5-6 days and there was no cramping, back pain anything. Then things got a little off and I went 6 months without a period and then had a long one (9 days), the next period after that was well over a year past and then one 3 months after that and I finally went to the doctors to get some tests run (age 17). For a while the doctors never really told me what was up, just had me start birth control to get my periods started again and sent me on my way. After about a year I started having problems with my birth control, painful periods, severe back cramping and pain all down my spine that felt like it went straight through to my sternum. They changed my pill, and I was evaluated for bipolar disorder and depression and they decided to put me on Prozac as well. I had issues with both pills and that was when I changed doctors and was finally told (age 20 now) that I had PCOS. The doctor started me on Metformin and Clomid but I never got a period unfortunately and it was that time that I lost my health insurance and could no longer afford medical care. I have been without medical care for over a year now and had tried a few different "homeopathic" remedies recommended to me at a local vitamin store, which made me feel better mood wise and made my skin more clear, but did not cause my period to start. But randomly 2.5 months off the store recommended pills I got a very heavy period that lasted a good 8 days. It stopped and life with my cycle, or lack of has been back to normal except within the past 3 weeks. I forgot to mention, I am in a committed 6 year long relationship and do have unprotected sex more often than protected and around the time I had the period we did both before and after, we really thought nothing of it as my system and hormones are so off. But as I said the past 3 weeks have been more off for my physically than usual. It started with cramping sometimes during and after sex to begin with, dull to achy and just over all uncomfortable pain in the lower abdomen. Over the past two weeks my breasts have begun to become tender and sore and over the past few days my nipples, which are usually pretty flat have become larger and more erect and hurt and when touched by fingers or rubbed or pressed the pain is very sharp. Three days ago I also had severe back pains, like the ones I had when I was on the wrong birth control before my period, but that was usually the day before my cycle would start and I have yet to have one so I really am unsure about that. My boyfriend noticed how swollen my nipples were tonight and also commented that my areola, which normally does not have any coloration had some, it is light pink/tan and the nipples are several shades of a darker pink and that is when he broached the subject of maybe us taking a test in a week or two. I am in a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions at the moment and am not sure what to think, the idea never crossed my mind honestly that I could be pregnant, I really didn't think I could even conceive and was just wondering what other women and maybe even some whom have PCOS think about what I am going through. I don't want to get worked up about this, but really am not sure if I want to wait to take a test, the boyfriend on the other hand is calm about the whole situation. I am just not sure and would love to get some guidance and words of wisdom on the while situation.

That's hard because a lot of early pregnancy symptoms and PMS are really close.

I have pretty much all those same symptoms when I PMS, dark, erect, incredibly sore nips, back pain, cramps, etc. But early in my pregnancies, I had the same symptoms along with being nauseous, etc.

When was the first day of your last period?

Also I was a little light headed and sick to my stomach at work today, lasted about 15 mins, but I really thought I was going to pass out or vomit. Though work did smell incredibly bad today. (I work at an animal shelter and clean up the dog kennels)

I would definitely go ahead and test.

I know the feeling, it took me two years and a lot of negative tests to get pregnant with my first. So I understand the apprehension.

Took 2 tests and will have to go to the doctors to figure out what is really going on. I took the first test and it was positive and this morning I took the second, on my boyfriend's urging, and it came up negative. So I am just a little confused. I called and the doctor was able to fit my in on Friday so I guess I will find out soon.

That's good your Dr was able to get you in so soon. Good luck and come back to let us know how it went.
