I got married last year in August after few months that is in November I noticed that lactation has started from my nipples. Milk was coming out when I pressed my nipples.
I consulted my doctor and asked her if it was a symptom of breast cancer. She said it was not at all a symptom of cancer. She asked me to go for test to check prolactin level as it may be a reason of infertility or something like that, but the reports were normal.
She asked me to take a medicine called cabrogolin for three months and some dietry supplements which included vitamin E capsule and simrose. She also said that the pain in the breast is because of hormonal changes and because of the growth of the breast as it has not grown fully yet. I continued taking the med for three months and all went fine. No lactation No pain. I again asked her if it was fine or should I go for mammography, she said that if you have doubts then u can go for ultrasound but not memo as I don?t see any sign of cancer. But I had to come to Belgium for my project that week only and I could not go for it.
Yesterday that is in June 4, 2007 I pressed my nipples and saw some water like fluid coming out. It is neither sticky nor stinky, It just looks like water but slightly colored and milky some times.I face minor pain in my breast most of the times
Could any one here please guide me wat it is and wat should I do???
Please reply am confused am still in Belgium and new to this place so don?t know much about the medical fecilities.
I had this same discharge starting last year. My doctor checked my prolactin levels and all that was normal. They did an ultrasound and said I have fibrocystic breast, a harmless but sometimes painful disease that many women have. However recently I watched a show where a man was speaking about his wife dying of breast cancer. He mentioned that she was misdiagnosed and that so many of the women that actually die from breast cancer die not because they don't do self exams but because they may find something, go to their dr. and when they are told it's fibrocystic breast naturally they are relieved and go home with a false sense of security only to find out later on that they are in later stages of cancer. This man has made it his life mission to tell women get a 2nd opinion. you should. I'm going to!
hey thanks for the information i was really waiting for some one to reply.i am in belgium these days and have taken an appointment with a doctor but its after a month please tell me if u find something useful after visiting ur doc. and thanks alot for replying!
best of luck!
Hi, I Am From Greece, 27 Years Old And Have Same Problem With U.
Same Situation, Went To Doctor And Said Not To Worry.
Trying Not To Think Of And Feel Better But Keep Having It In My Mind All The Time. I Was Thinking Of Going And Do A Mastography, I Just Want To Make Sure That Is Not Cancer. I Am So Glad I Can Finally Talk To Somebody To Understand Me.
