Unhappy i need my hair to grow fast but how, please help!

hi i did something really silly, i got a fringe put in, i used to have a fringe years ago and i hated it then, so why i got this dont god only knows. i know its sounds pathetic but i hate it and its really making me feel ill(dramatic i know) i feel ugly anyway i put it! any way for now am just putiing my hair up with a load of grips in it, and sticking down with hairspray, bu on the 16th of next month am going out to a concert with my boyfriend(first time weve been somewhere special in ages) and i really want to wear my hair down, because i hate my hair up, and i want to look nice. anyway... can someone tell me which food/suppliments will make my hair grow quicker, know three weeks isnt a long time but am willing to try anything.

    Default good luck

I have heard eating foods with gelatin in them help. I have also heard to take vitamin e supplements. I'm sure you aren't going to get a new head of hair in 3 weeks but it may help. Try leaving your conditioner in for a day and don't use heat products. Salon quality shampoos and conditioners are the way to go. Regular store bought products are equivelent to hand soap. Good luck and maybe try going to a hair dresser for a night look for your date.

you need to go ahead and get extensions or wear a human wig if you need it in three 3 weeks.
Hair needs biotin, iron and protein for healthy growth.
Minimize anything causing drying/breakage(sprays, heating appliances)
Use a good conditioner and reconstructor to keep ends from splitting.
Trim hair every 6 to 8 weeks. hope this helps.

ok, so a few months ago, i decided to stop going to beauty supplies because i couldn't stand reading a bunch of chemical ingredients that didn't make sense to me. so i went to this wonderful organic store, and i bought a henna shampoo, everything was natural and i understood the terms. i have been using henna for 3 months now and i stop blow drying my hair which i am very happy. after i shampoo my hair, i leave it on for 5 minutes and then rinse, i put rolls, with air dry my hair takes about 6 to 7 hours. (do this in a day your not busy) after my hair is dry i take the rolls off, my hair is full bouncy and shinny. I saw a big difference, the hair is growing and stronger and no more breakage. That's my secret to healthy hair.

Ok so hair normally grows about 6inches a yr so growing enought hair back to fix the mistake you make in a month most likely isn't going to happen. It may grow enough for you to at least be able to do something with it but its really not gonna grow much. If you take really really good care of your hair you can be the lucky few who can see about an inch a month (I'm one of those people). Supplements and all that aren't going to make your hair grow faster. You can make it healthier and make it look better but your not going to be able to speed up the growth process. I'm sorry, but I'm sure you look better than you think we are always our own worse critic

I recommend the bed head self absorbed shampoo and cond. It's packed with protein and other nutrients and it has been helping me grow my hair out.

Growing your hair faster has much more to do what you put IN your body, than what you put ON your body.

Very true OTYA. Still tho, you cant speed it up more than an inch a month. you can try every product out there and drink all the water you want. it can only grow so fast.

Prenatal vitamins was recommended to me after I got my long, nearly down to my butt, hair cut to right above my shoulders. It was getting too hot and I was tired of messing with it but my wedding is just about 6 months away, I think it's grown maybe an inch. I thought it would grow much faster. My mom recommended drinking gelatin which is doable. She said she did that and her hair and nails grew really fast and her nails were also much stronger.
You just make the gelatin up but instead of letting it solidify you drink it. Stress can affect it too. OTYA is right though, stuff you put on your head won't really make it grow, it starts with the right vitamins/minerals.
