I suggest neither to be honest.. you can whiten your smile more natural ways.. I did a paper on teeth whitening and if you look up more natural ways you will be happier and your teeth will be healthier because all that britesmile and zoom stuff removes enamel from your teeth and no matter how white they are that doesn't mean they are healthy. Try getting a whitening toothpaste.. i reccomened vivid white, and vivid white night.. also brush good and look up different ways .. its easy to find.

I agree with Cabana, it's a known fact that the light has no effect on the process. You can get just as white with home trays, it just takes a bit longer.

I too would not recommend having the Zoom! whitening done. I had a severe reaction to it about midway through the whitening process. I began having an adverse reaction the the product once the light was applied. Terrible shooting nerve pains that shot from my teeth all the way into head. The whole process was supervised by my dentist whom I trust very much, and he said although rare, serious adverse reactions do occur. I paid a lot to have it done and by the time all was said and done, my teeth were 6 shades lighter and I had a headache, mouth pain and tooth sensitivity that lasted for about 3 weeks. Definitely NOT worth it to me!

I am convinced there must be a good way to remove plaque.

On another note. I tried some home bought teeth whitening several years ago, and it spotted one of my teeth and was not very effective. Also caused me some sensitivity issues.

A friend of mine had zoom whitening done and I didn't really see much of a difference so, I don't know what else is out there but be careful with anything you apply yourself.

a bit of history..............during the war (canīt remember which one but long ago) american soldiers developed an infeccion in their mouths and were given peroxide to rinse.....when returned to camp, it was noticed that they had whiter teeth. Thus the tooth whitening procedure began.

My suggestion? rinse with peroxide, I would consult with your dentist does it need to be diluted with water, and remember the dentist might tell you it wonīt work.....for obvious reasons. Good luck!

There is a thread somewhere in Beauty&Style where a LOT of people complained about burnt gums with the Zoom system... and the dentists didn't want to know anything, and the company didn't care.

I'd be very very careful. Try GoSmile - they're at home ampules that you pop and apply. Very easy, super convenient. A little pricey. I obsess about how white my teeth are so they weren't very dark to start with (according to everyone that knows me, except me) but I liked them. Crest Whitestrips worked well but gave me excruciating sensitivity when I did two strips per day on top and bottom as instructed.

I'm thinking of trying the Aquafresh trays next.

    Default I wouldnt do either

I tried both of them and didn't really see any major results, especially for the amount of money you spend on those products. The one that my friend recommended to me that I like the best is the Dr. Collins All White Bleaching. Noticed results in about a week or so and I have sensitive teeth so they didn't bother me. I would try it if I wear you, I bought it for pretty cheap off www.dentist*****. Good luck.

    Default whiting

A word of advise whiting tooth paste should not be used every day as it breaks down the enamel on your teeth ,it could be used twice a week ,I asked my Dental Hygenist if it was save to use everyday, NO NO NO
