    Hi there,

Check this site for the Biofem Activgel:

Passion For Life: BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel

I ordered some but it is coming from New Zealand! I have not yet received it. I did, however, get my Ph test strips so I'll let you know how my homemade version goes!

Vanessa, sounds good. See what works. Just be sure that you keep on with the probiotics after you feel like you're "well."

inknc66, yes the shipping is expensive because it's coming from the UK. It ends up being about $25. However, compare it to the US "equivalent." The US drug acid jelly is by prescription only. It has much more of a smell (kind of vinegar-like). There's a doctor's visit. And my script cost me $30 after insurance. So... the Biofem isn't too bad a deal.

You are my new heroes!! I've been reading posts that started in 2006!!!! And mostly from the same ladies. So... I'm going to start a cycle of NW Reuteri and the Bio Foam and I think this femdophilus stuff and see how it goes. I'm too poor to go the the Dr. every month for an antibiotic that's horrible to take and obviously doesn't work for me.

If anyone has any suggestions on whether the above "stuff" works best with a combination of something else or not, please let me know. I tried to read all the posts, but there are just way too many of them!

I'll keep you posted after I start and let you know how it goes. And.. if anyone knows the cheaper places to get these things, any tips would be so helpful. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. This is so embarassing.

Wink the best and easiest cure for bv!!! speaking from first hand experience

    Bacterial Vaginitis/Vaginosis

BEST and FASTEST method of healing Bacterial Vaginosis is to douche with 1/2 Hydrogen Peroxide and 1/2 water. If condition is severe, douche a few times per day for 2 to 3 days...infection should subside. It is good to make it a habit to douche Hydrogen Peroxide/Water once every week or week 1/2 once healed in order to continue optimal health and cleanliness. Also, it is very good to make it a habit to take Folic Acid and Lactobacillus Acidophilus. These vitamin supplements are Very easy to find (Rite Aide/Walgreens/CVS/Walmart) and Very inexpensive.

When I suffered with this condition for about 1 year & 1/2...I was so depressed as none of the natural home remedies seemed to work. I found this method that I have written above to be the Fastest, Lasting and Most Effective cure without a doubt! I HAD A SEVERE CASE OF BV AND NOTICED A REMARKABLE DIFFERENCE AFTER THE FIRST USE!!!! It's a Miracle cure. We underestimate the extensive healing properties of something so simple and extremely accessible as Hydrogen Peroxide...and it is Completely safe!

Your days of BV are Gone!!

JessieB - You don't need the Nature's Way Primadophilus Reuteri AND Femdophilus, as they are basically the same thing. Use one or the other. I am using the Femdohlilus now, as it was less expensive at the health food store (although still very pricey! I paid $20 for 30 capsules!!) I purchased the Primadophilus on-line from the site I listed in a previous post for less than $20 for 90 caps.

I still haven't received the Active Gel yet, though my credit card has been charged. It was $30 but I must agree with Ginger-Ark. Economical in the long run. I'm not sure how many applications will be in the tube, but I'm sure more than 4. Rephresh is about $19 for 4 applications...Too much.

My home-made Ph testing kits are working out well. I believe I've posted the link for the strips. My Ph seems to be around 4.5. I'd like to get it lower so helping the Active Gel will help.

Ginget Ark - I am still taking the probiotics 3 times a day and feel relatively symptom free. (Had sex a FEW times and all smelled good!!!) How long should I stay with 3 times a day??

    Hi everyone,

Well, after using the Cala-gel for about a week, which has been working great, I got my Active Gel which I ordered before I found the Cala-gel and I thought "this is great, now I have 2 things that work" but after my first use of the active gel I got really tender in that area and the smell got worse, but then got better then worse then better so I have no idea if it's working, anyone else had this problem with it? I just used it again because I was starting to get BV after forgetting my Cala-gel at my parents and now i'm burning, itchy and sore down there. I am so frustrated because it seems all these things that work for everyone else won't work for me. I've been taking the Reuteri/Rhamnosus for over a year but I think I became immune to it after a few months because it doesn't help much anymore if at all (but i'm taking it anyways, just more), the Hydrogen peroxide just made things worse, and the Vaginal Vitamin C worked but they don't make it anymore. I really was thinking I finally had a solution but now i'm worried i'll get used to the Cala-gel and it won't work anymore or they'll stop making it and the only other thing i'd hoped would work doesn't.

I'm not sure if i'm putting too much in, or if I should just be using it externally, it says a fingertips worth but when you are squeezing it into a place you can't see, so how do you know if you put in too much or too little, can anyone who've used the Active Gel help?
