Hi Lexilex, I stopped using the hydrogen peroxide as well. I think it is something you only want to use briefly anyway and like you said my bladder and urethra seemed to get irritated. But I still have some discharge too. It's a white sort of sticky type of discharge. I am curious is that what you and everyone else is experiencing? The odor is gone now, but I haven't had sex since January. Fortunately my boyfriend travels for a living and so do I so thank goodness so I can try to get things more in balance. But I have had the same experience as you with the BIO FEM Gel. So now I use it just a little bit before sex but I had tried using it alot at first - twice a day for 5 days and then I even tried using it again but it doesn't cure it. It definitely reduces discomfort. And I used the Natrens Megadophilus ( it was the dairy one). They have a non dairy formula too. And mixed the powder with water just to make a paste. I didn't use the Natren capsules with the boric acid and acidophilus combined. But I may try it eventually. If you try it, please post and let me know if it works. Because I only used the Megadophilus/water mixture a couple of times and stopped because as usual my bladder felt irritated. I wonder if its the BV that makes our bladders sensitive. Anyone else experience some bladder irritation with this or burning on urination, but not a bladder infection? So anyway, Lexilex, the Natren Boric Acid/ Acidophilus sounds interesting. But my gynocologist told me about the Megadophilus and that she had some patients have luck with that administered vaginally, thats why I tried that but I don't think I did it long enough. So post again and let me and all of us know if anything works or not and I will do the same. Kitten123

    Default spend the money

I used to use whey powder. it worked mostly. i invented that cure hahhahaha. but something works better than that.

Yesterday I had a pap smear and I told my GP that i used to have chronic BV for 1.5years, and he sais "well you don't have it now"

and that's only because i got the ladybalance , bought online and mailed from denmark and i also got the ph strips and saw the ph of my vagina go from 5.5 to 4.3 which was pretty much straight away.

which is ironic because my boyfriend and i just broke up and i'm not having sex with anyone. ooooh wellll.

this sounds like an ad but it's not. and i don't need to come back to this forum again, i only came back to let all you searchers know this.

    Question

Wow that sounds great, if I don't see a difference with the Fem-d then Im going to try this route, Im kinda gettin tired of having to use boric acid every week which its only like for a day or so but even that im getting sick of.
Ladies I have a question yesterday me an my boyfriend were having the best sex(don't wanna be too graphic) but anyway when we were finished I had the worlds worst stomach ache it was awful, it was actually more to where my uterus an ovaries were more than my stomach. I ended up going to the bathroom were I vomited an ended up using the bathroom, it lasted for at least a good 10-15 minutes an then it stopped an I was able to resume washing up an stuff without a problem. I have had this happen before but it only happens every once in a while after sex not all the time, thats why I never got it checked out because I just figured it was from rough sex or something but right now im kinda worriedwhat do you ladies think has anyone had this happen before, is it something I need to go in for? Any feedback would be appreciated.

How long did you use the ladybalance before you started seeing that it worked because I used it for 2 days one time and it seemed to make the fishy smell worse. Please let me know because maybe I did not use it long enough.

    Default ph test

Went shopping for more home remedies today! I also got a pack of ph test strips but Im not sure what the results mean. My ph tested as 6? is that high or low?

Also got some more folic acid and some acidophilous from the refridgerated section to try vaginally.

I was trying vitamin C and E and thought it was working but my symptoms have been really bad this week!

After reading your post, I ordered the Natren boric acid/acidophilus...I just receieved it yesterday and I will let you know the results. It says it is a 14-day course. I have been using boric acid forever so I doubt it does anything different but I will let you know.

I also got the Natren Boric acid/acidophilus kit, 14 day treatment, thnx to the suggestion of Kitten123. I'm currently on antibiotics for a sinus infection, which is making the BV a whole lot worse, my symptoms of burning and itchyness are back, which were gone before the antibiotics, when I only experienced odor/discharge.

I'll wait till i'm done with the sinus meds in 2 days to start the Natren. Praying that it will work. Still eating yogurt daily, taking primadophilus reuteuri and folic acid 2x a day. I find that when i stop any of those, symptoms of burning/itching quickly return.

i've also just read on another forum that using Yeast Arrest along with the Natren 14day treatment, can also help. Anyone ever used this stuff? Guessing you can buy it online.

I used Yeast Arrest for a long time, which is kind of expensive. It is just boric acid mixed with some herbs. If you use it for a long time you can get off of it for about 3 weeks but then your symptoms will return (mine did anyway). I used it for about 6 months. Now I am just using plain boric acid with empty Vcaps, which to me is just as good. I have to use it every single day though. It sucks but I guess its better than smelling like rotten fish I am on my third day of the Natren. Not sure if it's working yet. I guess I won't know until the 14 days are up when I have to stop it. I have never used the Yeast Arrest with the Natren though, so I can't say if that made a difference or not. If you use it with the Natren, please let us know if it works. Thanks ...You can order it from amazon or I ordered mine from rockwellnutrition.com...They are very nice and a nutritionist even called me from there to see how the product was working and to give me advice.

awesome, thanks for that. i'll try the Natren alone. if that doesnt work, ill try it again with the Yeast arrest. I also have boric acid with empty gel caps, just been a bit hesistant to make my own, but since you said that theyve been working, i might just try it.
    Keep you posted.
