Hi, I'm a new member. Happy that I found this forum which have a long thread to talk about the vaginal infection.
I've vaginal yeast infection and also BV about 2 yrs. I'm actually trying to conceive (TTC) also. I wonder if any of you also TTC or pregnant now? Is there any impact to your pregnancy if you have chronic and long time vaginal infection?
This is because every gynae I visited also advice me to cure my infection 1st before I conceive. The problem is I don't have when my infection will cure and I can't wait too long then only get pregnant cause my age is catching up.
I'm so upset as I got this problem right after my married
Hope can get some comment or advice here..

    Thanks a lot!

    * Sorry, it should be "The problem is I don't KNOW when my infection will cure and I can't wait too long then only get pregnant cause my age is catching up."

the thing about my infection is that i dont have any odor most of the time. its just persistent discharge that wont go away. and right when i get off my period it clumps (eeewww!!!) and its very slightly greenish.
i am not sexually active, and i can't get rid of this thing! it is so frustrating. i am completely broke and i have no more money to spend on these products that dont seem to work.

oh btw i have tried that metro antibiotic, but i only took 2 tabs then tossed it because i heard that it doesn't even work. i tried hydrogen peroxide douche, fem D, rephresh, and bio fem and i am presently trying the balance active. i am trying to be positive about it, but my discharge is the same

i am thinking about going back to get the metro antibiotic and try it, i am becoming quite desperate.

Please let me know how the balance activ works...I would really like to try it. I am trying the sweet whey powder right now that someone on here said worked for them but it's not working for me...The only thing I have used that gets rid of the smell is boric acid. Just get some empty capsules and boric acid powder and make your own suppositories. I have to use it everyday but I know I don't have the smell when I am using it...I do still have discharge though but not the fishy smell. God, I wish someone would find a cure for this. It is so depressing to feel like this. I feel gross and dirty even when I just get out of the shower.

Hmmmm. Seems to have cleared itself up on its own after my period! The only thing I have done is wash a couple times on the outside with vinegar and water soaked cotton ball, to try to get the acidic environment there. Even had sex and semen inside me which I was certain would create a full blown infection. Maybe the lactobacilli from the Candaclear did indeed 'take hold' in there after all.

Hey ladies, I suffered from Chronic BV from the time I was 16 until now (24). I was constantly at the gyno, I have tried the Metro anti-biotics, I tried the Metro-Gel, Clyndamicin, and a few others. All of those not only gave me yeast infections, but the BV came back usually in about one month. I stuck with my same gyno because I liked her and I wanted her to be able to keep track of how often I came in and all that. Eventually she said she was going to test me for other bacterial infections that might be throwing off my PH balance, thus making the BV return. Well it turned out I had 3 seperate bacterial infections (why they didn't test for them before is a mystery to me). So make sure you go in and ask that you be tested for ANY kind of bacterial infection, if you don't treat them all then BV will continue to return due to the imbalance in your vagina. So finally I got them all treated and after that, I went on to a few of these BV forums to see what anyone else would try. Belive me I have been going through this for a long time and felt I was just going to have to deal with it, but then I took advice from 2 people that had written about this all-natural herbal pill thing. I have been BV free for about 4 months, which is the longest since I was 16. (So far so good) It is a natural pro-biotic that you can find in your health food store (edited) "Primadophilus Reuteri." Its got lots of the good bacteria "Lactobacillus". I take one a day and at less that $10 for a bottle of 30, its not that bad. I have been really happy and came back on this site specifically to offer any help I could to anyone else who suffers from this awful problem. I went through most of my teen and young adult life with BV and it held me back a lot. This stuff is working for me, and it worked for a few others that wrote about it as well. But please make sure to go to your gyno first and have them test you for ANY BACTERIAL INFECTION that you could have.

JRmiss, I'm really interested by your post! Seems like such an obvious solution...so are these just *any* kind of bacterial infections in the body, or are they all vaginal? Did you experience any symptoms other than the BV?

    Hi All,

May I know anyone of you have had online buy Yeast Arrest before? I only found those website in US. However the shipping cost is very expensive as I live in Malaysia. So that would be nicer if other country (like UK) has the online website who sell the Yeast Arrest and has shipping to Malaysia.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, I used the Yeast Arrest for a long time and it worked great. However, they have changed the formula and added tea tree oil to it and it's not the same. I bought it not knowing they changed the formula and I used 1 and threw the rest away. They smell really disgusting. If I were you, I would just buy a cheap bottle of boric acid and some empty Vcaps and make your own boric acid suppositories. Thats what I have been using and its the only thing that gets rid of the smell. You have to use it every day though or the smell returns : (
