Hay!!!Or is it hey??? Does about here own/lease/ride horses here? If so do you ride Western or English? Do you do trails, dressage, jumping, Threeday, Enurance, Pleseure, Pony Club, Vaulting, Rodio Riding, Barrol Racing, Pole bending, Gymkhana, roping, cutting, Reining, plesure riding, or maybe some thing I haven't listed. Or maybe your a Pony Club mum, 4-H mum, groom, groom/mum, Show/mum, Or maybe you are an horse trainer or a instucter. Or maybe you have dreams of doing this, but you haven't been able to aford it. What ever you do or want to do with horses, write about it here!

    Me and my horse!
I own a beautiful Holsteiner flea bitten/dapple gray mare(female). Alexandre(Lexi) and I do Dressage together. We show at about first level, but she can do some Prix St.Geogre moves. I hope to show her in the Olympics like her father St.Topez. Lexi thinks she is a human I think! She loves to groom me when I curry her! She is the sweetest mare ever! I owned Lexi sence she was five years old. I will have owned her seven years in October.

    Default Horse Nut

Hey horse girl! I and my daughter love horses too. we own/share a 14-year old Oldenburg gelding. He is the most awesome horse I have ever owned -- used to have an Arabian gelding. Our Oldenburg, Debonaire, is a Donnerschlag son, and we ride dressage. He is a gentle giant and has all the buttons. I ride as often as I can. In fact, plan to go to the barn tomorrow morning. Keep riding, horse girl!

    Helllooo all horse lovers....

Im from the UK, currently working on a private eventing / hunting yard.

We have 14 beautiful horses, one of which has just (last night) had a stunning filly foal, which ive had the delight in naming - Freya, her registered name is going to be Indira Surprise.

So, we compete at 2* eventing level at the moment, the cross country jumps are HUGE 4ft at least.....

Anyhooooo, you can not beat waking up in the morning to walk the dogs and joining each sleeping horse for a quick cuddle.

Horses are the most amazing creatures...i could spend all day talking to them as if they were humans!
“As you regonise that you already own the wholeness you seek, and no one outside you can give you more than you already are, dysfunctional situations will evaporate like bad dreams exposed to the morning sun.”

i have been ridin horses for 11 years now. ever since i was 5. :] i have a thoroughbred/draft/paint mix. he is 16.2hh and his name is scout.
I mostly ride english but i do western too. i used to show alot but it got way to competitive so i stopped and now i just ride for fun. maybe one day i'll show again. my main discipline is stadium jumping. i love jumping high and goin fast. but i do alot of different things, but one thing you'll never see me do is hunter/jumpers. i can't stand that discipline.
one day i wanna live either in montana or tenessee and have a ranch and my own car/truck shop. horses and autos are my passion.

Hello! Yeah Ive had horses all of my life! My family own a haflinger stud so theres a few Haffys hanging around as you could imagine! I used to do 3 day events when I was younger and i was the bees knees at jymkana! And as for Pony Club my mum's district commissioner! So pretty much everything in my life apart from me is horsey!

I cant ride anymore ya see because ive developed an allergy to my horsies

Finally a horse thread I started a new one because everyone was talking dogs hahaha !
Well, miffed23, i am jealous ! I would love to be in your position.
I have been riding since i could walk as my mum breeds thoroughbred gallopers. I have had many horses but at the moment have two TB's (one EFA showjumper and one preliminary eventer) Most people where i am have Warmbloods though, so i feel like a black sheep i dont mind.
I also have a miniature pinto pony called Panckes. Hes a trick pony! Does heaps of cool things. I taught him myself, not that its hard, hes so small so i can boss him around
I also taught my eventer to rear on command when im on his back. Pretty awesome feeling as he is quite tall ! His name is Elmo (or Willowbank Hot Chocolate)
    My showjumper is Kiettah.
They are both beautiful, but typical thoroughbreds nonetheless !!!! Would love an Andalusian or perhaps a Clydesdale cross TB (a good cross, not an ugly duckling!!)
Would like also to one day compete at Badminton or Adelaide 3DE...
    Hahaha ahh
    We can all dream.
    xx

Hahaha girl you sound a bit like me. I drive rally cars competitively and also showjump and event thoroughbreds. I like to try my hand at most horse things like you sound to have done. Its good to be versitile. Not showing though... cant stand showies and the showring, no offense to anyone.
Why dont you like hunting though? I think its quite fun. My mother used to do it when she was young. Its everything i like! Jumping high fences and galloping across a field thats why i love the cross country phase of eventing !
