Hello ladies! 2 days down, 5 to go for this week

Yesterday I did a class that is new at our gym. We got a partner and did reps of cardio and weights for an entire hour.

    Today, I did a class called 20/20/20
    20min Cardio (today was kickboxing)
    20min weights
    20min Yoga

I think I was much more fond of the 20/20/20 but I liked having a partner for the Monday class. I have asthma but don't like to use an inhaler, so I putter out around 1/4 mile.
I forgot how much I enjoyed yoga, but I get bored after 30min. The 20/20/20 will be giving me different routines week which will be great to break up my Warrior and Spin class.
I am impelled, not to squeak like a grateful and apologetic mouse, but to roar like a lion out of pride in my profession.

morning everyone. my calories for yesterday was 1135 with protein of 82 and fiber of 28. i burnt 713 calories with exercise which put me 777 calories under budget. i walked and did elliptical yesterday.

sorry about the boooooo whoooo's yesterday. i guess it was just the initial shock of the whole thing. i reevaluated my newplan yesterday evening and found out that everything that i have been doing is exactly what they suggest you do for osteoarthritis. lose weight, eat and sleep right, walk, do yoga, stretch and exercise. all things that i have been doing anyway. so i am not gonna cry about it. getting older is a part of life, i just had to adjust my way of thinking. thanks gibs. your concern is REALLY appreciated. how are you doing on this challenge. have not heard a lot from you so far.

I've been doing pretty good (i think) lol i'm never sure till the weigh in at the end. I'm sorry i've been kind of absent this month on the posting the diet part, just been so busy lately. and things on our finantial front are not looking so good, and will not likely change for at least a year or more. so i've been kind of down the last week or more about that. but i've been doing pretty good calorie wise, still having a really hard time getting in the fiber mostly cuz i have a very limited budget so i find it really hard to buy too much groshries at a time and veggies are so expencive. but i'm working on it and I won't give up. On a happy note, i offishally am a member of the YMCA now I'm soooooo excited but yet at the same time i'm nervous about going. i want to do the aqua fit classes there not something i have to sign up for i just go when i can but it's first come first serve so i might get there and it'll be full. but they have adult rec swimming at the same time so at least i won't have to worrie about getting changed into a swim suit for nothing lol. although i think they tell you before you go into the change room if there's space or not I'm going to try really hard to go tonight but i'm having a really hard time making myself feel comfortable enough to go lol. my other concern is that i'm going to get there and it's going to be all older ladys there and i'm going to feel out of place but i know i can do it.

What is everyone doing for exercise today? I just realised that we only have 2 weeks left, lets all push ourselfs today and get some movement in. I AM going to push myself and go to this class tonight......What are you going to do?

gibs, please go tonite, it is very important for you to get there and get rid of the jitters. i know and understand how you are feeling but know that the reason people go to the y is to get fit. don't feel uncomforable. feel proud and stand tall. look how far you have come. the old you would have never done this. this is all a part of becoming the new you. you may feel a little apprehensive now, but once you get there and get your swim on (swimming is great exercise by the way) you are going to feel just amazing. keep your mind on the prize. the feeling of satisfaction that your are finially taking control of your own life. so again, you need to go tonite, if you don't you will continue to make excuses. no more excuses gibs, its time to jump in with both feet!!!!! lets get healthy together. on step at a time!!!! a very inspirational, young, beautiful woman just recently said to me, "one day at a time and one foot in front of the other my friend". words to live by!!!!!

Thank you Cyndie i needed that kick in the pants lol. I will go tonight, if not swimming then to use the machines for sure! I need to get organised this afternoon and find the stuff i need. Thinking I might just have to take a trip to penington's this weekend to buy myself some exercise clothees. i have a gift card from christmas i was saving it for summer clothes but I think this is much more worth it, mabey by summer i'll be small enough to shop in walmart lol.

Gibson, I'm soo happy that you got the Y membership! Have you went yet? Oh, the aqua thing sounds awsome! I love water, and I've been told that it's really good for losing weight. If they have it like seaonal or something, I would defiently look into that! And if you do get in, I wouldn't think twice! Please go... I think it would really benefit you in soooo many ways!

Cyndie, can you take some medicine or wear a small brace to help with the pain? Can you see your doctor or a specialist to see if there are some exercises or something you can do to help it? You're right, the pain shouldn't become your life. *hugs* I hope you feel better...

Aeryn, I'm loving your workout! The 20/20/20 thing sounds really, really good! After a while, you could probably figure out a routine to the spin, warrior, and the 20/20/20 on alternating days so it become boring. Keep up the good work!

I can't belive there's only about two and a half more weeks of February! It's going by so fast But I had a free moment and thought I'd come see how every one is. I've been getting my fiber up in the 20's (around 20-24ish) a day, and I haven't gone over yet. I'm also re-learning how to exercise without the XBOX. I found a really good exercise on Fitness Magazine that's for 6weeks, and it's for your abs mainly, but works your whole body. If anyone is interested, I can send you the site in a PM, since we can't post links on the forum.. I've done it twice, and I think I'm starting to feel it working!
