The husband and I just buy what we want, and this year we have gone overboard...
DH went and spent an absurd amount on Steam.com on a lot of video games and a controller for his pc.
He told me he wanted to get me a camera, so we went out and got that.
Tonight, we went out and got Sushi and the nicest sushi place around and stopped by a Artisan Truffle show and got a dozen truffles.
DH also told me to go online to blackmilkclothing and get the swimsuit I wanted.
This weekend we are going to buy running shoes.
I am impelled, not to squeak like a grateful and apologetic mouse, but to roar like a lion out of pride in my profession.

I'm a Leo, RAWR! Sun/moon/asc/venus- 1st house.
I had a cool day actually. Saw my doctor and then went for a little shopping after in the Castro area in SF. Guys there are obviously not interested in me lol, so no guys were bothering me there saying Happy V-day and hitting on me like they would downtown. There's this cool record store there and I bought some new music and then I went to Walgreen's and bought these cute Valentines cups that has hearts on them.
Now I'm home and chillin'.
My hubby had to work but we were able to meet up for dinner. He bought me chocolate and I spent valentines day home with the tv.
I made my fiance his favorite meal, lasagna.
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

my boyfriend and i don't get into valentine's day very much, part of the reason because we're on a budget (i work a minimum wage job & go to school and he's been laid off for 3 months now) and partly because i think your guy should treat you like a queen every day of the year, not just because of a commercial holiday. so we just went out to dinner then came home and watched a movie in bed.
