    Post moles

    Hello Ladies,

I have a mole at the side of my mouth and i have had it a while my doctor said that it's nothing to worry about but its getting sore now and again and i'm thinking about having it removed. One doctor as put me off saying that it's in an awkward place and having it removed could cause side of my mouth to be wonky so i'm not too sure whether to go a head.

What would you do leave it or look into it being removed ?

I think to have a mole at the side of your mouth is sexy,
Sometimes I use my eyeliner to draw a fake mole.
If I were you, I wouldn't remove it.

I also have a mole on the side of my mouth. I have no problem with it so I won't touch it. But you say yours is sometimes sore. Are you poking at it a lot? You could also pay attention to the skincare products you use to see if it is being affected. I personally wouldn't have it removed unless it was causing a chronic medical condition.

I have one on my neck and hate it so I had it removed because I was self concious about it. Everyone said to keep it, but it made me feel better that I removed it. Do whatever makes you feel better.

Only remove it if it causes you medical problems.

I do know some people who had moles in awkward places and they didn't like them, so they had them removed by a dermatologist.

Sometime they grow back, but as long as it's not bothering me, I wouldn't bother it.

If it hurts, that could be a sign that there is a problem. Get a second opinion, and go to a dermatologist. It's not possible to know if a mole is cancerous until it is removed. I had a mole on the middle of my cheek removed when I was in middle school because it was necessary to see if it was cancerous (it wasn't, luckily), and it healed wonderfully with the aid of neosporin and mederma(an awesome scar healer if you use it as soon as the wound heals). If it is not symmetrical, not uniform in color, or painful to the touch, then these could all be warning signs that you should have it taken care of. Your face is constantly exposed to UV rays, so even if it is safe now, it could become dangerous in the future. Don't worry about it, don't be scared. Early detection and prevention make it so that you can save yourself from cancer!
