Make sure you don't wear polyester shirts ! You need to wear breathable fabrics to avoid a build up of perspiration.

    Default Tom's of Maine

Okay, this reply is going to sound complete insane, so let me give some background.

Probably from around age 14 to the present (age 20), I was on prescription antiperspirant. Then I would put on baking soda every day to absorb any odour. The prescription was really not enough, but at least it made my sweating better. Before, sweat would drench a side of my shirt, whether I was hot or cold, nervous or calm.

Lately I've been trying to switch to natural bathroom products. I've used Tom's of Maine toothpaste for a while, and then I saw that they have deodorant. I figured it wouldn't work, but I gave it a go, anyway. I stopped using my prescription stuff. Now I don't have a sweating problem AT ALL. I get the apricot-scented stuff. You can get it at Walmart in the deodorant aisle. You'll have to look in the men's section.

I figure (and I'm an English major, not a scientist by any means) that sweating is, among other things, a way to get rid of toxins. Perhaps my body was reacting to the aluminum & various other nasty stuff in antiperspirant and working in overdrive to flush that out.

My dad has had lifelong sweating problems, to the point that his bedroom sort of smells like sweat. I told him about my discovery, and he tried it, very skeptically. Now he's hooked.

If it can work for my family, I'm sure it can work for most anyone. It's worth a shot, anyway! And it's much cheaper than botox or a prescription.

Hi, have the same problem, it's nighmare city. Am currently using,( as a bit squeamish about Botox), something that's called Driclor every night after showering. You can get it from Boots or large Superdrugs. It works better than anything else I've used so far, and I've tried a lot. If this doesn't work, how about asking your GP for help? Good luck! xxx

Have you tried the clinical strenght deodorant? You have to put it on at night before you go to sleep and somehow it works. Throughout the nexy day. To prevent sweat.

During the summer I have to use this. It works pretty good but I also use regular DO when I get up in the morning for that extra freshness. It's a little more expensive than regular Do, like 6 dollors (American) but it's worth it. because there is nothing more embarrassing that sweaty or stinky arm pits. lol

I use persiperex (i think thats how you spell it). When i was in secondary school i has a really bad sweat problem. I would literally get sweat patches everyday and it use to leave me very embaressed and wearing big baggy jumpers all year round.

Perspirex is absolutly amazing! it has totally stopped my sweating problem.

I had this problem when I was 18. (im now 25). I would HATE going to school as I would sweat sooooo much, and I never knew why. I became so self conscious about it that I would be buying and trying every and any deodrant that was on the market. I finally came across a product called Perspirex - and i seriously cannot rate it enough. The smell of it is pretty nasty (smells quite industrial ha!) but you put it on at night and in the morning, wash your armpits and your good to go. I only wish i found it sooner! xxx
