Default Help! 30 day long period+D&C!

Hello, I am new here and I am looking for some advice. I am 28 years old, have 2 kids and always had a normal period. On September 22nd, I started what it seemed to be a pretty average period, however it never stopped! My ob/gyn put me on birth control pills and on Provera for 10 days and that did nothing to stop the bleeding which was quite heavy. So after a 30 day long period, we went ahead with a D&C which was performed 4 days ago. I thought this would be the end of my period, but today I started bleeding again - what I consider to be a normal flow. I don't know what to think, I was told the D&C would stop the bleeding and I was expecting spotting this week and not a normal period! Has anyone experienced anything similar? I am so tired of the bleeding, it is debilitating and I just want it to stop so I can live a normal life again without pads! I contacted my Ob/gyn and I am waiting for a response from him, I guess I just want to know what my options from now on.... I am too young for a hysterectomy! Thank you, any advice appreciated. I had a D&C for my misscarriage about 3 weeks ago, and I too am still bleeding...My OB said it was normal to bleed after it for 6 weeks, and a friend was the same way. I believe it's normal, so try not to worry. It's your body's way of flushing your system out. I am no dr. though... Hope everything will be okay soon

Thank you for your reply, I am going back to the Ob/gyn today for a check-up. I guess I am worried because he said I should be spotting by now and I am not, this is not even close to stopping. We will see, hopefully it is just me being paranoid about the whole situation. Thanks again, Fab
