I was talking with a woman whom who's third and youngest boy had descovered(or may have been influenced to)do manstrubation at only 8 years old. Now most people and sites on childcare I'm seeing, say it's ok if they do that, and not to shame them, we'll shame is one thing, but ignoring it when it's young like that I think is possibly not appropriate.
I worked in rehab centers with young girls that had been molested, and that is the age at which she was acting out with M, and she had molested her younger brother too. I think there's a risk this boy was inappropriately introduced, either by an adult, teen, or antoher child to "M" to ejaculation at that age? Does anyone else have any comment? I think the mother should look around at people whom come into contact with this child and maybehave a frank conversation about when/how he might have started this behavior, expecially considering her older boys didn't start doing this until at least 12!

I've been masturbating since I was in the first grade. Obviously, I didn't know what it was at the time.
And in the 3rd grade, when I told two female friends I did it, they said they did it too.
By the 5th grade, a large group of girls and I were discussing whether or not you could get pregnant from "having sex with yourself."
I didn't have any sexual abuse issues as a child, but I know now that some of the girls I spoke to at the time did. (I never knew then,) but it's definitely something I just figured out for myself.
The sexual abuse idea is something to investigate, but it could be just normal exploration of his own body.
