Well I was going to switch doctors because my normal obgyn is moving out of state so when I cancled all my apointments with her I ended up getting a phone call around 11pm saying that she wants to see me tomorrow.

The thing that changed was the internal bleeding I've only got two weeks and I will be dead if they don't do anything about it. So that is what changed.

As for my email its the same as my name here just put an yahoo.com after it lol and I have recived one of your emials .. just waiting for the time being to see what all happens and stuff.

They cauterized my tubes when I went into surgery and my insurance refused to pay for it then I had a very long dragged out battle with my insurance company. If they are at fault for anything it will look like on paper that you only went in for a tubal. Also I just went on the mini pill so I am right back at square one. My new doctor is wanting me to try them for 3 months to see if they help with my pain. Make sure you read up on a tubal. I made a split second decision on a tubal without looking into it. Good luck I hope everything goes well for you.

I have has the Essure done for about 3 years now. It was done March 17, 2006. I want them to be remove due to the fact my soon to be hubby wants to have a child. They only reason why I got it done in the first place was due to I lost a child at 22 1/2 weeks but after that I ended up having a child a year later. I have problems after having sex. I seem to get sick and it hurts. This has been going on for the past 3 years after I have had Essure put in. My monthly cycles are way off track. Sometimes I can go without one for 3 months. Is anyone else having this problem?

    Default 4 Years of pain

Since I had my Essures put in place 4 years ago, I have had constant pain on the left side; that does appear to be worse in cycles. I've had CT scans and MRIs and have been told the Essures are in place correctly. I've had complete physicals by GI (had WNL colonoscopy) and uro-gynecologist (had WNL cystoscopy). I had exploratory surgery 1 year ago with the thoughts we might have a hernia (nothing found - all WNL). GYN is now saying the only option left is a total hysterectomy had have it schedule 5/26/09. They don't want to leave the ovaries because of the unknown pain etiology.

The only common thread appears to be the pain began after the Essures were in place. I have bloating, pain down my left leg, and pain in my back. The abdominal pain feels like a needle stabbing inside. And most evenings I can not lay on my left side to sleep because of the pain. And there is an unknown pressure feeling on my bladder that the urologist states shouldn't be there.

They even eluded that the pain could be imagined but I'd like them to feel this "imaginary pain" some time. I'm ready for the hysterectomy because I feel like it's my only chance to get my life back pain free. But I would like to warn others against the Essures. I have had pain for years that I feel originated from the Essures - and now after 3 years, it appears my gynocologist is also agreeing. She still says she's putting them into patients but my case has given her cause to review.

Hi I am new to the forum and I was reading some of the problems the women here had with essure. I had mine done 2 weeks ago and I still have a constant wave of cramping and have has constant bleeding since the procedure. Is this normal 2 weeks after surgery, especially the cramping?
OTC pain relievers like Advil and Motrin are not helping either.

Is this something that is going to be a constant? because if so I am going to ask if they can be taken out, if Dr can do that.

The continued pain is not normal. You need to seek medical attention. You could have perforations. Please read all the posts and you will find answers to lots of your questions. Be warned that many doctors will not readily admit problems with the essure metal coils. You shouldn't be hurting like you are.

Most doctors don't know what to do when there is a problem. They tend to say hysterectomy is the only solution but some of us have had them sucessfully removed without hysterectomy. Get 2nd opinion. I do know from my own experience and research that it seems like the sooner they try and remove them the more likely they can be removed without a hysterectomy.

Anyone considering the essure procedure should ask their doctor what they would do if there are problems. I'm sure they will say that there are risks with any procedure but ask them what do they do when there is a problem with the essure metal coils. If they assure you that there aren't any problems, still ask them what are they going to do if there is a problem. Ask them what they do in case you are one of the ones who does have problems. You need to know what they know about handling problems with the essure metal coils because problems do occur with the metal coils.

    Unhappy essure

I am 35 years old and the mother of 3 ( 14 and 10 year old boys and 18 month old daughter) My husband and I both decided that 3 is enough, so I had the essure procedure done last July. And ever since, I have had extreme lower back pain. My doctor said I must have pulled a muscle while waking from the ansteithea (?) so he prescribed some muscle relaxers and sent me on my way. Now, after almost a year after the procedure, I think I might be pregnant! I am scared to death. This was supposed to be a "fail proof" birth control option. With the economy the way it is, how are we going to support a 4th child? My husband and I both work full time and abortion IS NOT AN OPTION!
I haven't told my husband my fears just yet. I am praying that my period will come in the next week or two. There has got to be a way to sue the pants off of this bogus company. I am now wishing I would have just had my tubes tied!
