G'day, just wondered if any of you have given the Gabriel Method a try?
it is NOT a diet but a very supportive, compassionate and practical lifestyle change.

i have followed Jon's advice for the last 3 month (and one advice was not to weigh myself) and noticed a gradual loss, especially around those hard to shift hips, overall i have dropped a clothes size. i eat healthier and MORE, the only exercise i do regularly is yoga (daily).

Jon has been incredibly supportive to some of my online friends by offering them (free) personal advice over the phone, he is a wonderful, compassionate person and i believe that he has got it all worked out.
we all know diets don't work... that is why they keep coming and going and people keep going on and off diets. Jon explains all that in his book too, he goes into great detail about the mind body connection, the fact that we are actually starving of nutrients, which is why we overeat and how to deal with it.

Sam, i have incorporated most of what Jon suggests (eat more, eat vitality food, visualisations etc) and i have now been able to start RUNNING, yay , the weighloss initially was quite slow (judging by my clothes) but now it seems to fall off (still haven't weighed myself) i feel fantastic and there is no 'falling off the wagon' with this, as it is a gradual lifestyle change.

Default I think he is on to something

    Hi Girls,

I am a male interloper but couldn't resist joining your discussion as I have read the book, am practising his ideas and have spoken to him personally a number of times by phone. He is an extremly approachable guy and will spend as much time talking and advising you as you wish. This to me is an absolute first because although I paid for the book I certainly have not paid for any 'after sales service'.

At the end of the day many diets and weight loss programs must inevitably share some similarities but his personal journey is inspiring.

One thing I like immensly and has helped me greatly is the CD which comes with Jon's book. I have studied hypnosis at length and Jon has really crafted a very useful pre-sleep meditation program which I feel has had a marked effect on my attitude and thus, potentially, my weight loss program.

Lastly, I absolutely don't have any faith or belief in any author or weight loss bod who doesn't include the need for exercise of some form in their program. As a male I simply don't buy that you can eat any amount or type of food and then just sit on your butt and wish the kilos away. I also don't however believe that a heavy weight program is needed, just general exercise such as brisk walking and/or cycling.

Its great to hear of your success Schnazzy and I hope your progress continues until you reach your goal and then stays there.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

    Regards,
    Blackrobes

thanks for your 2 cents Blackrobes i have a feeling i know you (of you?)

you summed it all up pretty well, better than i ever could.
my one concern with Jon's experience was that ...well... he is male, women have a different metabolism, hormonal fluctuations etc, we know already that women in fact need different medical treatments then men, yet most studies have been done on male subjects only. soooo... i was a little cautious with the approach.

*shrugs* it seems to work for me, i now LOVE to run, my body craves exercise and i feel fantastic. my scales have been packed away for 5 months now and frankly... i don't care. its only a number, it is far more important how i feel

Congratulations! It's so nice to see someone who has had success with weight loss the old fashioned way (which, in my humble opinion, seems to be the only way that actually works longterm.)

I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about
our revolutionary products and once in a lifetime opportunity.

My name is David Melville. My wife Leslie and I started Team

that I needed to try an all natural approach to weight loss.
I had tried and failed for years to get my weight down.

Default Giving the Gabriel method a try

I bought the book online last week and then was disappointed to find today that I could have got it at Big W for half the price! Anyway, I've been giving it all a try and am not convinced yet. Maybe that's because I feel I've tried everytype of weight loss program there is with no real success yet.

What advice would any of you who have had success with the program give me?
