Relatives of Breast Cancer patients question.
Hi my mother has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and is starting treatment this week. Luckily we have been told it is in very early stages and once removed she will need radiation treatment for 6 weeks only.
Im not sure if this question is correct for this forum or not. My sisters have told me that i will now have to cease taking the contraceptive pill. That once Breast Cancer is in your family it is not safe to continue taking this form of contraception.
I was hoping that some of you may have heard similar, or know for definate if this is the case.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there,
Both my aunt (in remission) and my grandma (in treatment) have dealt with breast cancer. I have heard the story about the Pill and increased risk...but never really looked into it as I can't be on the Pill bc of migraines and blood clot risk.
I did find a link from the National Cancer Institute that might be helpful to you...
