Okay let me start off by saying I have never really been regular on my cycles. I was on the pill from 16-21 years of age so the pill controlled my cycle. I was on Depo for a year between these times too. I was regular from 14-16 years of age but after the pill my cycle has never been the same. Now I stopped taking the pill when I was 21. I kept missing pills, and it was useless. I got fed up with trying to remember taking one at the same time of the day. But me and my Fiance have used a condom since day 1 of meeting each other (2 years ago). We NEVER, not even once, went without a condom, even when I was on the pill.

But lately, for the past 4 months I have been having weird periods. I expected it to be weird for 6-9 months after quitting the pill (that's what the doc said). But these past 4 months I would get cramps, bloating, mood swings ON the day I was expecting my period, but nothing would come. then I would be LATE 2-4 weeks, THEN get my period for 2-3 days. So can cycles really be that long?

I will give you a run down of my last cycle...
I started my period on February 9th. Ended on the 15th (yes 7 days, but REALLY light/ spotting for the last 4 days of the cycle)
SO now it's 46 days since I last had my period and I am getting REALLY bad cramps, tender breasts and terrible irritability...but still no period!!!

What is up with this? Should I test soon? Because I DO know, condoms can break or leak (we had a condom slip off a few times...) We wouldn't be terribly upset, but I really wanted to wait until after the wedding and honeymoon to start "trying"....*sigh* If I'm preggo I'm going to need to bump up my wedding date

Ps. If you need my cycle record further back from Feb I can look it up.

I'm not sure if i can be of any real help on this, but I also have an irregular cycle, i was a very late bloomer. Over this past year, I've been having severe pain with my menstural cycle, so far I havent been able to figure out whats wrong, but i do know that, whatever it is, its causing a hormone imbalance....
Lately, i've been getting the tenderness and cramps around the time that I would think that i should be starting my period, but then it doesnt start!!! Just when i think that i should take a pregnancy test, i end up having my period....its really odd but its been happening to me for a few months now. I was also on birth control for a few years, I was on the Depo as well, and i noticed that, even tho its been about 4 years since i've been on b.c., my periods are more irregular than ever!! Perhaps that has something to do with your problem as well? Depo really messed with my body, and a couple other girls that i know, i remember it was making me bleed for a month straight, yucky.
I would think that its a hormone imbalance caused by birth control....but i'm not a doctor so i would definitely do some research on that....

Well I ended up getting my period on the 27th of March. and my last one was on Feb 9th....Thats a pretty far stretch if you ask me!!! I have scheduled an appointment with my doc, whom I am going to ask for a Gyno appointment.

A little confession here....I haven't had a pap for 2 years So hopefully I can get one scheduled.

    Well I'll keep ya'll updated!
