Spotter is right, there are no pills in P90X. It's just exercise and lots of it, really hard core designed to get atheletes into top physical shape.

I started to get really nauseous around my third week, especially during plyometrics. I think that's about the time I got used to the length of the videos and was really pushing hard through the workouts. I was also working out first thing in the morning after a small snack.

These days I'll wait until a good hour and a half after a meal to work out. And that's helped a lot, both with the nausea and my performance. It also helps to sip a recovery drink right afterward and wait until 20-30 minutes later to eat a meal.

I start Phase 2 Doubles on Monday.

I know quite a few people who're doing the P90, and it's an over push to your drive. Feeling nauseous is really just your body telling you that you're starting to over work it... Especially if you had a large meal or ate just before you do your work out. As you work out, your body is striving to pull all the nutrients out from your digestive system and into your blood and building your muscles. Your metabolism is working in quick-drive, and your could be pushing that over the edge.
Remember to replenish your body as it works out, you'll need to restock on healthy carbs and electrolytes. You don't simply sweat out water, you're sweating out your salt content of your body. Have a healthy snack after your workout (ie. fruits or a healthy bar) to satisfy your straining metabolism, replenish electrolytes and refresh yourself!

My fiance and I both started P90X together just over a month ago. We both have a love-hate relationship with it - it takes a lot of time and we're lazy, but it's getting results so we can't complain too much.

Someone mentioned feeling sick and nausea after the work-outs? I wouldn't worry too much, but I would suggest to not do the workouts within at least two hours after eating because it's very intense. Would you eat a big meal and then go running for an hour? Not likely. This is basically the same. Also, don't guzzle water/whatever you drink during the workouts. Take water breaks yes, but take small sips, or hold some water in your mouth for a minute and slowly swallow bits at a time. Any martial artist will tell you that one of the worst things you can do during an intense workout is to gulp your water. It'll just make you sick in the end.

I do some of the work-outs, mix in with pilates, and other dvd's. I really noticed my arms changing and love it.

ok I am not doing the program but my husband is and i will share what he has happened with him. he is currently on week 5 and the first week for him was brutal. he had to take off from work on the second day because he simply couldnt move his arms much. he has altered his diet slightly but i dont think he is doing their full blown nutrition guide. i have stopped frying food because they do suggest lots of grilled meat and such. he is fine now though at times he says he cant do all of the pushups or pullups they require so he takes a break on those and just does what he can do. he has so far lost 8 pounds and his arms have a bit more definition to them now. he also says drinking a protein shake for muscle strength after the workout really helps him feel better. the only advice i can give from an outside point of view is if you are going to do this it HAS to be a full committment or dont do it. he actually had the dvds about a month before he decided to go through with it. ive watched him work out and the instructors are tough and no joke but if you can commit to it then I say go for it because it seems like it actually stands behind its word of shaping you up

    Question p90x

Not sure if you are still interested, but I just bought this program (it should arrive today or tomorrow) and I am going to get started ASAP. If you have tried it or want to, I would love to have some support on the program by having someone to talk throught the ups and downs with. let me know.
