root canal
hello everyone, ok so first of all i did a root canal like a 1 year and some months ago i was suppose to go back and put a crown on the tooth but i didnt it was costing $500 so i kept putting it off now the filling had gone down really low and i'm guessing eventually its gunna go bad .....is it ok to pull out the tooth? before i had the root canal the dentist told me that it would be better to do the root canal than pull it out because he said that if i pulled it out my teeth would shift.
my husband also recently did a root canal his one is more in front but his filling fell off and now hes planning on pulling it out too, he paid $250 to get that done and it just fell off.

Putting crown is safe
Putting metal crown is safe after root canal if the dentist advise one. If you pull out now, you could have done that instead of root canal. In the course of root canal you might have experienced quite a bit of pain and spend few hundred $ for RC done. But actually doing RC is weakening the tooth, bcaz few nerve ending are blinded in the course of treatment. So it is better to put crown if the dentist advise to get the full benefit of doing RC. I'm not a dentist, but have done RC and put crown some 12 years back and it is fine till now.
