That happens often to me. drink REAL cranberry juice, plus extra water. also try cotten undies for a week if you don't wear cotten. so then it can breath and air can flow.
Well I actually have 2 problems. I haven't gone to a doctor yet, because I hate them. I was really hoping these problems would just go away by themselves, but I know that that isn't going to happen. My first problem appears right below my belly button. I know you're saying, "then why is she posting this on the gyno page?" but hear me out. It started probably about 3 months ago. At first I thought it was a bug bite. One little red bump. So I bought some hydrocortizone cream and it kind of helped the itching, but it didn't go away for a long time (3 weeks or so). It finally went away and I was glad, but kept returning in a week/month later. I thought it was odd because sometimes it was just a tiny red bump and other times it was like 6 big red bumps. At one point in time it was flared up like the size of a nickel. Now I had no idea what this was, but my mom saw it and told me I had herpes. She freaked me out, but then I started wondering if that could be true. Now in my mind, herpes is only down under and you can't have an outbreak on....your tummy. But now I'm not sure. As of right now, there are no bumps, but I am certain they will return again. I really don't think that it's herpes because I've had the same partner for a long time, and he hasn't complained about any symptoms. We always use protection so I'm skeptical, but would really like someone to tell me that it can't be herpes.
Ok, so my next problem just started about a week ago. I looked through all the other postings, and deducted I may have a yeast infection. But I want to just get some feedback on that as well. It's itchy down there, but it feels like it's more on the inside. It really hurts to wipe after I pee, but it doesn't hurt to pee. That deducts my theory of the uti. So I know it's not a UTI but I think it may be a yeast infection. I've never had one before, so I'm thinking about going to get some over the counter medicine and just try it to see if it works. I also read that if it's something else, mis-treating it can also make it worse. ah! I don't know what to do. I guess I'm just looking for an answer without having to go to a doctor. And anyone that replies to this (and i hope someone does) please do not include "go see a doctor" in your message. I wont take that advice. Although any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks a million.

Let's firt talk about the itching down there. Itching, swelling, burning, redness are almost always signs of a yeast infection. If there are no lesions or bumps down there, then you can almost gaurantee that you have a common yeast infection. Most other STD symptoms involve bumps, lesions, or changes in dicharge such as foul odor. Other's are just undetectable. So, it is common practice that most women with those symptoms will treat themselves with Vagisil or Monistat. Combine that with plenty of air flow and cleanliness and it should clear up (the cranberry juice is more for UTI treatment).
As for the bumps on your belly, I am pretty sure it is not herpes. Herpes is not known for making bumps. It makes open sores like blisters and is usually only found in areas that are moist such as around the vagina, anus, mouth, nose, and eyes.
Do your bumps look like they have anything inside them? Maybe clear fluid or puss like a pimple? Or are they just hard and raised like a mosquito bite or something? There are several skin infections which can cause symptoms like that. They may even be boyles or abcesses. I think the only way to really know for sure is to see your doctor or a dermatologist.
Let us know what happens!

hey everyone - thanks for the feedback
the diagnosis for a yeast infection was soooo correct. got that taken care of right away. so thanks for the advice. however, we still have the tummy bump to wonder about. if anyone else has an idea on what that could be let me know.
think the bump could be a boil?? I have been breaking out with them in the past six months i have had 7 and i don't now what is causing them. It may be a new BC i am taking tri-nessa? I was on Ortho TC and it did great for 8 yrs. and now i am getting boils?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
you may have ringworm or some other fungus. Is it usually round in diameter? Look it up on the internet to compare pictures. Totally treatable by antifungal medication.
First, I'm glad you got your yeast infection treated. Don't be afraid of the doctor. Remember, your problems are exactly what they encounter every day! You aren't the first woman with a yeast infection. They're not embarassed about your sexual health and neither should you!
I just wanted to comment on the bumps under your tummy. My sister has a severe allergy to certain metals and suffers from similar symptoms. The metal button on her jeans gives her bumps and itch. It could be some kind of allergy, even to a new clothes detergent on your pants. Just an idea.
