    Cool lipo

Hi I had to tell you all that I had lipo done 2yrs ago on my stomach and sides, they took nearly 2 liters of fat out, but I can honestly say there wasnt a lot of pain, and when it became uncomfortable easily managed with dafalgan.

I know this is a little old, but for people who are looking towards cosmetic proceedures....

There are a rise in cases of proceedures, including liposuction, that have been botched by incompetent doctors and staff. Make sure that you research your would be doctor carefuly. The medical field have a way to protect their own. Be leary of bargain deals. A most grevious, buyer beware.

    Hello!

I know swelling and bruising are possible side effects. But, I have read about some of the botched surgeries as well (dents, ripples and such).

Any advice on what to ask the doc during your consults to make sure you have a good doctor?

Anyone think about cosmetic surgery of any kind plan ahead for the healing processes. I discovered a great product through my doctor you may find useful in regards to the bruising. The product is called BruiseMD and although I found out about it through having some cosmetic surgery I now use it anytime I get a bruise, even when my boys get bruises (which is like once a day!!) anyhow here's the quick story:

As I said I had cosmetic surgery recently and there was extensive bruising post-op. My doctor warned me of this and thankfully he prepared me prior to the surgery. He recommend that I begin taking BruiseMD a week prior to the surgery and then after until the bruising had completely healed. I was amazed at how well it worked that I had to post this. I mean it didn't heal the bruising over night but it certainly cut the healing time significantly.

I am also very active on the tennis court even in my "older" age so I get bruises often. The product works like this; a bruise is basically dead protein under the skin that the body will break down over time. You need something that will help speed that process up. BruiseMD tablets have naturally occurring active enzymes that work to break down the dead protein. This will reduce the bruise, reduce the pain, reduce the discoloration. It is also all natural so it is safe for everyone, even kids.

Anyhow I felt compelled to toss this info out there. I never knew there was anything to help treat bruise type conditions/injuries and I thought this was just awesome so check it out or don't but it is worth knowing about.

As far as i know, liposuction can lead to excess skin sagging. Because while you get to reduce the fat, it doesn't do anything to tighten the skin. However, there are varipus treatments for sagging skin too.
You can also surf the net and find out how the sagging skin can be tightened again.

Another side affect no one has mentioned yet, is death. People have died having lipo. Think it through carefully! Any surgery carries risk. Any anesthesia use carries risk. Nothing beats proper diet and exersize!

If you choose an authorized and well qualified surgeon there won't be many side effects - except the possible post-op pain.
