John Mark Karr, a 41-year-old schoolteacher, was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, on suspicion of murder in the 1996 killing of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey, authorities in Boulder, Colorado, announced late Wednesday. It is the first arrest in the decade-long investigation of the child beauty pageant contestant's slaying.

I believe this arrest is very "fishy." The suspect claims that Mrs. Ramsey knew that he was the one that killed her before the she died not too long ago. So why didn't she go to the police. He must have been blackmailing her with something....but what??? His comments do not add up to the evidence found either!

Does pretending that you violated & killed a 6 year old make you more psychotic than the actual killer? I remember that I was in the final weeks of my first pregnancy when this murder took place...it seems like yesterday

i know its sickening to think someone who lie about this, but he's being charged for child pornography. i wonder if they'll ever solve this case???

I don't. I think he's a nut job who obsessed over a 6 year old girl & found that if he could convince the world that he was with her he could then convince himself that he was with her when she died. I read a few times that there were over a dozen false confessions about this murder over the past 10 years. Maybe this confession was just at the right place & the right time to be exploited by our media. In a society where celebrities are treated by a seperate set of laws & standards than 'commoners', people will do anything to be famous or infamous.

well i only recently found out about this case a few weeks ago, i was not in the USA when the muder happened but i found it really interesting, from what i've been hearing on the news and reading i think hes not guiltly just SICK, because the DNA didn't match up either. this is really a mystery...

I know for a fact that the Mr. and late Mrs.Ramsey did not kill their beloved child who could kill a happy little girl ibelieve this person on youtube has solved the crime check it out!!!
