Default Hmm.. inquiring minds wish to know..

What is it that makes cosmetics so appealing?

    And..

If you were the only person on earth, would you still wear makeup and eyeliner and eyeshadow and all of that?

To the heading i would say, an inquisitive mind

Have you asked your fiancee this question? Now that would be interesting!~

1.. To be able to change to suit the mood your in, much like the colour of your clothes.

    2. Now why would i do that? Who's going to see me?

As someone who dedicates a very large part of her life (and bank account) to things cosmetic, I feel I can give a bit of insight to this. I began doing it because to me, it made a statement- ANY statement you want it to make. If you're feeling moody, slap on some black eye liner and a pale lipstick. If you're feeling girly, some baby pink lip gloss, blush, and doll-eye fake lashes. If you're feeling sexy, do a pale lip and deep, dark smoky eyes. I know most people are going to say it stems from insecurity, but honest to god, it is completely the opposite. Would I go outside with fuscia lips and fake lashes out to there if I was all that insecure?

That being said, there are days that go by where I do nothing but put on some moisturizer and chapstick, just because even someone who's passion IS makeup gets a little lazy once in a while.

And to answer your seconds question, ABSOLUTELY. Every single day, probably numerous times. If I'm alone, what better to occupy my time than one of my favorite things to do? It's got nothing to do with there being no one around. It's just plain fun.

    Her answers would be
"It's not" and "I don't wear any NOW, with everybody around."

which is a good thing, cuz TBH, she sucks at putting on makeup and makes herself look fake, like a doll or something.

Also, I'm pretty affectionate but if she's wearing makeup I keep my distance cuz that stuff tastes horrible. Eyeliner gets all over me, lipstick as well, etc etc. Hate that .

    It's alright, but totally unnecessary.

To be honest with you, i think a natural glow is stunning on a woman, it shows confidence as well.

But, this still requires some make up.. light lip gloss for instance, a dab of colour to the cheek.

I also think it's sexy when going out to highlight your eyes, as Chelsea Renee states, the smokey look... If your going to wear nice clothes, high heels, it looks nice with a bit of war paint.

And, around the house, local shops, your man, naked is good... It is who we are..

Nothing wrong with a bit of make up, most guys hate kissing a woman with lipstick for taste and also as it smugges all over his face, but that's life..

It's a girly thing to do.

If you are in business, you have to wear makeup, you can't go out on appointments in a suit and heels and have a wish wash face with no glow, it doesn't say confidence. So, some will go for soft and subtle and other's will prefer deep and meaningful..

As, i said, we're girls. Or, situations in my opinion, require make up...

TBH, I hate it that people think they have to paint themselves up to think they look pretty. Exposing themselves to toxic substances (Some of the worst cases being botox and silicone) just so others will pay attention to them doesn't make sense to me. Much less sense is made when people pay soooo much for something that's A.) fake, and B.) potentially dangerous. I mean, what? Why? Why listen to someone else's opinion of what pretty is, and why care in the first place?

I find that very interesting. I mean you posed the questions, "what makes make-up so interesting", and so, we replied.

I understand the toxic substances, etc, i imagine you take that through with your toiletries, underarm, water to clean the floors instead, etc... Although, i have to let you know that there are a variety of "non animal tested, non chemical " make up out there on the market.

What i find interesting, is your last comment: "Why listen to someone else's opinion of what pretty is, and why care in the first place?".

If we believe that we find make-up is appealing and makes us "pretty" so be it... That's our opinion...

That is how WE, feel about it...

If there was anything terribly toxic about makeup, women would be dropping like FLIES. I can't name more than 3 women who don't wear it, and I've never heard of makeup cited as a cause of death. That said, it's fine if you don't like women who wear makeup, and I'm glad you've found a women who doesn't wear it. But just because some of us do enjoy it doesn't mean we really give a darn what you think about it, to be completely honest with you. I do my makeup by myself at 3 in the morning because it's something I enjoy. There's no one around to see it, so clearly I'm not doing it for a reaction from someone, so it's not because someone else thinks it's pretty. It's because I do. And I feel just dandy without it, because I go without it all the time.

Besides, have you ever indulged in drinking alcohol? Smoked pot? A cigarette? Painted your house? Well then, get all those horrible toxic, dangerous chemicals out of your life! They're clearly unnecessary, and yet, I'm sure you've done at least one of them anyway. Why? Because it was fun for you, maybe?
