3yr old daycare behavior
My three year old is bright, happy and for the most part cooperative. The day care provider tells me she will not eat with utinsels at day care. Some times here she asks if she can eat with her hands. Depending on what we have, sometimes I let her. When I tell her no, she eats with her utinsles. The daycare provider also tells me she is aggressive around other children, usually in the morning. I do not see this behavior here. Any thoughts??? Thanks K

i'm not a mom, but i'm currently working as a nanny for two girls, ages 4 and 6. it sounds to me like your daughter is testing the daycare provider to see how much she can get away with (at least concerning the utensils). maybe it would be good to give her some sort of incentive for using a fork or spoon. if this is her first time being away from you during the day, her aggressive behavior may have resulted from separation anxiety. maybe if you drop in to check on her in the middle of the day she will want to display better behavior. hope this helps.

i agree wit rocknrollqueen...i also am not a mom...but i hav a 5yr old sister n when i lived wit my parents my sister was the same way in a sense...she could b testing the daycare provider..as for how she acts wit other children in the morning, u may wanna try sumthing like a moms club..it will get ur child more involved wit playing and communicating wit more kids...dont be all up in here space while she plays wit them instead stay a decent distance back and OBSERVE how she acts wit the other children..now if she does hav a tiffy with another kid dont immediately react give her a few seconds to go back to a non agressive state..than approach ur child n discuss wat she did wrong/ask her why she did it and wat she needs to do instead...and than also teach her to apologize for her agressive action to the other child
