Some sort of WH instant chat room?

A lot of forums I go to have an IRC channel, although to be honest I'm not sure how popular that would be around here, not to be sexist, but I don't know that many women who have even heard of IRC....

Maybe something like a java front end for an IRC room? I've seen a few of those lately, and the whole real time chat thing would probably increase the "community feel" that you seem to be going for, with the blogs etc.

I know I'm not really supposed to link (remove if necessary), but resources like ***link removed*** (probably many ways of achieving this) look like an easy way to integrate or link something like that into the site, whilst being easy to understand for those that are not too computer savvy...

I'd offer what little knowledge I have if something like this was desired but someone didn't know how to do it....

So, what do the people reckon, good idea or a collosal waste of time?

The gaming forum I mod on has/had one of those. The forum is kind of dead, so we don't use it anymore but it was a BIG hit while the forum was popular. It made it much more of a community.

I'd definately go for that...

I think it would bring a closer environment which can't harm anyone, whilst a few laughs at the same time.
